OTR Soaker

:smiliedance: My Over the Rainbow soaker arrived this morning.....and it's HUGE!!! :( I don't think DD will ever fit into it, she's so long and skinny...Kymmy or Shed or someone who's wooly-knowledgable! Can I shrink it?

I don't think I'll need to shrink it too much, but it's SO big! Egads, it'd nearly fit me...ok maybe if I lost ten tonnes of weight off my butt :laughing: but you get my drift! :D

Oh, I know. It's SO beautiful but I really do think it's big enough to fit a wooly mammoth :laughing:

I don't want to sell it, but if I can't shrink it safely I might have to :crying:

Av's is the same - huge!!! I thought the same thing - will fit me (and I aint petite) Great for nights though.
What size is it?
You can gently wash it - see how that goes?

I bought a large because the rise (46cm) is the same as the one I have, and I've had troubles with the rise fitting on some of my covers, so I went with that...

I'll try handwashing in hottish water and see how that goes? It needs to be lanolised anyway. I hate it when covers arrive and they need lanolising!

U could contact Shona. I am not sure if she uses superwash (which wont felt/shrink) or not.

Is it not lanolised?
Then bathe in warm- hot water - see how that goes.
Even if its a lil loose it will still work as long as it fits around the waist and legs I reckon.
I thought the rise looked short so asked for a higher rise - and its big! I should have got a medium in retrospect. But they are wonderful!
Can you try it on bub so we can see?

:o I should have actually looked at the paperwork it came with this morning shouldn't I? Sorry! The postie came while I was in bed and I tore it open half asleep and then went back to sleep :laughing: I'm having a brainfart day...

I'll go have a look at the info and will try it on bubba when I pick her up from daycare...if it definately is too big I'll contact Shona (yes, her email addy is on the paperwork! As is the sentence "this soaker is lanolised and ready for use") God, I'm embarrassed. What a ninny I am!
