Anyone interested I am dying to see everyone again!!! Or all the people I meet last time at the day meet in Sydney.
I think we should go for either the %th, 6th, 7th or 8th!!??
What does everyone think??
I propose the city as i think its easy to get too.
I start Uni in March now so prob wont be coming EVER after this one..
So does anyone want to have a meet up in Feb. Normal place maybe unless there are things like Softplay or whatever in there...

Id love to come
6th of 7th are good for me ;)
I'll come if it's on Thursday, but don't need to plan around me. We will be in Melbourne the first few days, then that's our anniversary weekend too, so Friday we're off for a getaway.

Hey no its not "the Official Meet for Feb" but When I posted this i didnt see any threads fr Feb, and I wanted to meet Early feb before I start Uni.
But Anybody can join in so feel free if you want to add your name....
Does anyone have some ideas on where..??
I'm keen. 6th or 7th would be good for me.
Would be interested depending on day. I have a few things on in Feb so the diary is a bit full.
Anywhere in the city is great for me :D I'm in!
I have no life so pretty much any day works for me, too.
So is this still happening?

I had a look in the other feb meet as I didnt see one when I opened this one, and the possible dates for it are very close to this one so maybe just have the other city one where more people are going to,
??
Makes it easier for alot of people.
i would love to but if its in darling harbour again near that gloria jeans i cant go, its too hard to try and chase after him when he wants to crawl everywere, especially when i am pregnant and its just too close to the water there. but if its elsewhere in the city i will consider going.

I'm in if we're still doing it - though since 6/7/8 Feb is only a couple of days away I'm guessing its not happening... Is it? Isn't it?
I live in the eastern suburbs but can drive/train/bus/whatever wherever :D

I think people (including me) are off to the later meet on the 15th......and so not this one...hmmm? thats what I'm guessing!
I'm happy to meet in the big smoke next week...the 15th is still a couple of weeks away.
Whadya's tink?

Yup - I"m up for both :D
i'm up for both! providing, like before it isnt at darling harbour gloria jeans.
the botanical gardens idea is great but that would mean public transport
ususally if i go to the city i park in near chinatown/haymarket and walk but it but PT would be alright if i had to.
i hope its decided that this is is still on. reminder of date and time please? or hasnt that been decided along with the venue?
I won't be at the Homebush one so am up for a city meet :)

You know what I dont really mind anymore that the other meet is on kinda close to this one.
I am still gonna do it.
Smaller would be nice anyway.
I dont know where the gardens are though???
But I would like it to be on the 6th cause thats pretty much the only day im available.!!
So who is still gonna come then since there is still interest.
I start tafe/uni week but I am available tues and want to meet some more bubhubbers.
Any other suggestions for places.??
Def the 5th though at about 11 am!!??
Sound good??
Erm Hollywood, do you want the 5th or 6th?
I'm okay either way. The Botanical Gardens are right next to the Opera House - the closest station is Circular Quay.
I'm not sure that there's any cafes in the gardens themselves, though. And it's a bit of hard luck if there's bad weather (no cover anywhere in sight). Having said that, we could meet near the entrance and in case of rain, there are lots of cafes along the wharf.
Sweetness: what if we met somewhere else in Darling Harbour? There are cafes in and around Harbourside shopping centre and also along Cockle Bay Wharf.
There's also Hyde Park (nearest station St. James but it's also only a stone's throw from Town Hall). There isn't a playground or anything like that but there's plenty of grass and (apart from a fountain) no water. The city shops are only metres away.

Not sure what date but tuesday is the day im talking about..I am pretty sure its the 6th.
I am up for anywhere provided its that day...
Let me know everyone, if you guys want to go on a different day thats cool ill just catch up at the next feb meet if i can.

anywhere is fine by me as long as its easy to get to and not too close to the water. i like darling harbour because its easy for me to park just near chinatown and walk to D/H.
DS likes to crawl and take off on me and i always have to chase after him (which makes me wonder should i come when the whole time i'll be chasing after DS instead of gettin a chance to talk to all you lovely ladies) which isnt an easy feat anyways but with this pregnancy i'm having a hard time with my back and pelvis and i dont want to chase after him the whole time i'm there.
oh and as long as it isnt on the 7th, i have a ultrasound app.

can i grab a PM when location is final please?? :D
Sweetness: what sort of place would be best for your little one?
Sweetness: what sort of place would be best for your little one?
anywhere we he can crawl around without too much trouble, most places are ok but just at darling harbour where the meets usually are is too close to the water as far as i can remember.
but dont make exceptions for me, if you all wanted to meet there thats fine by me.
i mean i could take him and put him in the pram but i dont know how long he would stay in it for. he's very active and doesnt like to be in one place for too long as its too boring for him
i could walk him around for a bit but i'm a lazy pregnant cow who gets sore and puffed out easily
if you have it where they usually have it at gloria jeans, i would still come but it would depend on DS as to how long we stay there. if he got bored i would probably end up taking him to the playground on the other side, then maybe coming back if you were all still there.
so yeah dont change any plans or try and work things around me by all accounts.
just do whats easy for everyone else. :)
What if we meet inside the Gloria Jeans in Darling Harbour? He can crawl around and climb on the sofas and stuff. The staff were very accommodating the last time we descended on them, rearranged furniture and all sorts.
Or we could meet in Hyde Park (the children coming to this meet are only littlies, aren't they?) where we could sit under the tree shades and let them crawl around and have a chat with the visiting pigeons. There are a number of cafes around the park for caffeine hits and food.

either sounds great to me... i'm also very accomadating..lol and desperate to talk to some other mummies...(lordy how sad :o ).
Gawd, that's not sad at all ... or at least it's not sad for the rest of us desperate to meet other mummies for adult contact bubhubbers!
So who wants a pm with the meet details, then?
i'll have one! dont know if i can come but just in case :fingerscrossed:

So did we 100% confirm a place yet??
I vote for Gloria Jeans again and we will go inside cause thats really easy for all to get to and if the kids get to figgety we can move down to that shopping centre bit.
And maybe we can also make it 12:30 so pink lady doesnt miss out on too much of the action....
Yeah sound good??
Cause iv wanted to meet her since i first joined.....
Let us know its only 2 days away...

Wont be able to make it tomorrow, have to wait home for a delivery, sorry guys
So who wants a pm with the meet details, then?
me please!:)
for anyone driving, i've found that the cheapest parking that side of the city is just up from chinatown.
if your coming from broadway you just turn left into valentine st, then turn right into quay st and a quick left again into thomas st. or you can keep going and turn left into ultimo st at the lights and left into quay and right into thomas.
if your coming from george st way, you turn right into ultimo rd, left into quay st then right into thomas st.
its a dead end street and the parking station is at the very end next to the carlton crest hotel.
there are two other parking stations around there but i am not sure of the prices there but i found the one opposite the parking i go to is often full and the other one on the corner is hard to manouvere once your inside, that also is often full.
i hope those instructions arent too hard. but mostly everyone is going by public transport anyways.
i'm not sure of the exact price for parking but as its a weekday its a few dollars cheaper than weekends and its a fixed rate for parking which is under $15. alot cheaper than other parking in the city.
so from there you can walk to darling harbour. its about a 10 minute walk. if your coming from central stations the directions are the same once you come uot of the train station pitt st side. you just cross at the lights and tunr down valentine st. ( i hope i'm not making this too hard.
you just follow thomas st back the other way til you get to hay st (market city is on the corner), turn left then follow that street around (it tunrs right into harbour st) then turn left once you get past the entertainment centre, its not a street but a big vacant spot with a path etc you follow that and then you right (there is only one way to go). from there
you should go under a bridge and keep following the path but and you'll get to a park/grassy area surrounded by water features and the path will seperate, take the path to the right and that should take you all the way to our meeting point.

Excellent! Thanks for that Sweetness!
We're 50/50 on if we are coming. It depends on the heat. I don't like taking missy out in the middle of the day cause she is so fair and we've gotten burnt before. Esp as its at 12.30 so leaving here would be hitting the ripe hottest part of the day!!
Krisseh: top of 27'C tomorrow, so it's not too hot ... please come!
Excellent! Thanks for that Sweetness!
no probs...i hope my directions were ok. i dont know how many were coming by car but i thought i'd make it easy for those who are coz i know how expensive parking is in the city :shame:
please come krisseh
