I am going to the Mater Private in Brisbane. They have already sent me a booklet about the stay in hospital and it sounds so nice, I can't wait. My DH can even stay there with me and help himself to the meals when they come around. It sounds so much nicer than when I went public with DD

If all goes well I'll be going back to the Mater Mothers for this baby. I had Sarah there, no huge complaints. Where I live I have the choice of Mater or Logan.

Box Hill Hospital (Biralee Maternity) Melbourne... you don't pay one cent (paid it all in taxes), and funnily enough a few of the OB are from the private hospital!

I've had 2 out of 3 there & been very happy  with the public system.

Tried the private system with #2, the local private hospital is soooo busy. I was very  disappointed - MY EPIDURAL DID NOT ARRIVE - I wasn't even in the maternity ward:banghead: what did we pay all that money for... :p I went home!

I'm going to Werribee Mercy (Melbourne).. I had DS there and they were great... Even the after service, when I returned home, was great... Very supportive...

Yeah I'll probably be at Mater Mother's too. I've called the Midwifery Group Practice there, and they said that if it was one... then then I shouldn't have any problems getting into that program as I'm desperate to try for a VBAC.

Oh.. had 1st Ultrasound on Monday...

Freckle is JUST ONE FRECKLE!! YAY!! :smiliedance: Measuring at 9 weeks 2 days... which is actually a couple of weeks less than what I thought I was... so whoever's done the Due Date list... I'll have to be updated to the 18th.

I'll be heading to the Redlands hospital. don't know when though, my dr is organising everything for me. So hopefully I'll get a letter from them soon. I've heard great things about their maternity facilities and it's free!

Burnside Hosp in Adel, again.
I was pretty happy with it last time. We had a beautiful double bed room with a courtyard. Don't care this time too much as Angus will stay somewhere else with Hugh.
Oh, and they have the BEST food!

I am having our baby at Burnside Hospital (adelaide - private) and i am due on the 19th so maybe we'll be there together!!!!

This is my first baby so I can't comment on the hospital but my sister had both her babies there as she was very happy.

Who's your OB? - mine is Dr. Karen Chandler

I have booked myself in for Redlands.

Hey Shorty My Brother and Sil use to live in Wynnum and their daughter was born at Redlands about 18 months ago. Everything went really well and she got her own private room.

For me it will be Nambour Hospital on the Sunny Coast!

Starlight I can't believe we're booked in to the same hosp and have the same obs! That's great, Karen is fantastic

I was a week late with Hugh.
We meet a couple at the ante natal classes last time who we had heaps of mutual friends with and their baby was due 4 days after ours but ended up being born a month before Hugh, so you just never know what might happen!

Will be going to Caboolture hospital, it's the closest ans still 40mins away. They weren't to bad will my other two. Just scared the hospital is so far away and I have quick labours. The ambulance man lives round the corner, makes me feel a bit better

Tara, i was thinking the same thing! No, you're not the only one in the west, i am too!

I'm booked in to SJOG Murdoch - the ob most recommended by those at the FC is there, and my cousin was there last year and said it was lovely, so we thought we'd give it a go. It's close to us too.
