DH will be home for ages afterwards so he can do the housework etc :)

Hi Girls,

Im bruised!!! I didn't realise how violent the wave pool at the pools was and was sitting in just the wrong spot trying to hold onto DS and get up at the same time. I have a bruised knee now :crying: . LOL.

Shezi, that was my thought with the capsule. the only time I would need it is to drop DS off at daycare x2 per week but as I have the double mountain buggy Id have to lift baby in and out of that if we all went out anyway so Im just thinking perhaps the capsule isn't going to be worth my while. I dont want to buy one but I can borrow or hire one though Im thinking that might be a waste of time.

LL, sorry to hear your little one is still breech. What is it with breech bubs this month?

Nothing to report.

Hi Guys,Well false alarm with my sister!! Its all stopped and he seems to be staying in there for a little while longer. She has an appointment with her middies today so hopefully we will have more of an idea of what he is doing after that.Jazzysmum - thanks for the "taste" website, I went on and made the mini meatloaves and the chicken and vegie sausage rolls yesterday and the girls gave them both a big thumbs up !! Also I started to get Ruby used to crawling up on to me for a few weeks before my cs with Tilly so that she was used to not being picked up for the few weeks after the cs. The only part I really struggled with was lifting her in and out of the bath so she ended up having showers for a few weeks until I could lift her comfortably. Carrie and BG great tummy photos!MB2 thanks for the babies galore sale info. We are getting the Stokke chair for my sister so will go and get it now while its on sale. We have them for the girls and they're the best!!I hate to say this because alot of you are suffering but I have had the best week this week with great sleeps, no aches and pains and hardlly any indigestion. My only issues has been the morning sickness three times so far this week but after hurling for about 10 mins its all gone and I am looking for breakfast so no big complaints!!Annsam - I think we are going to go the capsule option for this bub, though how we are going to fit the three car seats across the back of the car is a mystery !!! It seems like it will be easier when doing the daycare run etc. I have found a place that hires them for $80 for 6 months and will part refund if you take it back earlier so feel I cant go too wrong with getting it.My Dads heading to the US for work next week so I have ordered a heap of clothes online from BabyGap, Gymboree and some things from PotterybarnKids to be delivered to his hotel room! They are having their winter sales at the moment so there are some great buys for the girls for this winter. Poor man he travels a heap and I am forever getting him to pick me up things for the girls. I think I have managed to source the cheapest and best things in each country he regularly travels too. He only got back from Singapore two weeks ago with a suitcase full of pidgeon teats, bottles (about 1/3 of the price of Australia) and some of their baby clothing line which you cannot get here. I am sure customs thinks he has his own kids store LOL!!!!

Its called Pearces and its at Mona Vale which is a bit of a trip from you but I found them through the bubhub directory so there might be someone closer? We are at Mosman so only about 30 mins away and they fit the seat etc.. Great question about the stress test I havent asked but will now !!!

Thanks girls!:hugs: Was feeling a bit stressed over it all but whatever happens happens i guess and so long as she pops out healthy i couldnt care less...i just need to remind myself of that.
LL- Nice work from our two piglets huh?! Did they talk about turing him/her??
Dont know if this is just me being paranoid but i was thinkng that if the Dr turns her (which im not going to let happen) and they need to moniter baby the whole time in case of distress etc. then what happens if she turns from acupuncture and is in distress and she isnt monitered? I wouldnt even know if she was in trouble?!!:( Or am i just being silly?
BG- Big :hugs: for you!! Im sure its not pre-natal depression! Hope your cold doesnt get worse..try and get some rest and hopefully you feel better soon.
AD- Thanks for the advice...i really have no clue as to what happens with c-sec so thanks for reminding me about them placing her on mychest!! I am absolutely dying for that moment!!!! Hope you start to feel better soon, and good luck at the Dr, hope it all goes well.
Shezi- What a bunch of idiots!!! :fingerscrossed: They realise they wouldnt be able to re-sell it and let you keep it...how annoying for you

I keep haing this sciatic type pain through my leg and since yesterday the vein that runs behind my knee and around my ankle is very tender and sore. Anyone else have that?? Wonder what it all about. Hope its not varicose veins or DVT!

Okay so I don't know if I'll remember everyone & who wrote what as this computer won't let me "multi-quote", do smilies or do paragraphs cos it's gay ...First of all - who is Wentworth Miller?ONLY THE HOTTEST GUY ON THE PLANET!!! Lol - he is Michael Scofield on Prison Break (main character) with the tats of the prison system all over his body and the nicest ever blue eyes ... I was shocked Veronica got shot last night & how gross when she was carried out in 2 body bags?!Carseats/Capsules - in Brisbane you can hire the capsules from I think it's St John's Ambulance for $50 for 6 months and they install it as well. We went with a convertable carseat so we can keep it until she needs a booster in a few yrs time and I think in our 2 door hatch it will be more practical and easier to get into as it'd be hard to lift a capsule out of there - if it fitted that is.There is apparently a place called Kidsafe at the Royal Brisbane Hospital who install your carseat for free. They will give you any extra bits to make it more secure if required but my friend only paid $5 for this extra bit. We are going to see if they still do this.I took my sick day & I actually did still feel sick when I woke up. I went with my SIL to a dr's appointment to look after my niece while she was in there & then went to my niece's swimming lessons. A lot of ppl seem to be swimming today! Lucky things. I wanted to jump in! There was another pg lady there and we thought she was further along than me but she was a week behind. She was a lot bigger I think.I am sitting here at the computer at home with my feet in a bucket of cold water & white musk bath salts as they swell like crazy at home on the computer but this seems to be working & feels nice. Although I feel like it's not very cold & tempted to empty out the tap water and put cold water from the fridge in it with ice! That's not fair about the whole Harvey Norman outdoor setting drama! You told them in the first place you didn't order & pay for it.Have to ring Ikea this afternoon & find out if they have my white cane chair so we can go when DH gets home from work.Oh i need tips - i did a load of washing this morning and white fluff over everything and wouldn't shake off well at all. I don't want to wash more of EB's stuff now as it'll go all over her sheets & blankets I need to wash. Is there anyway to get it out of the machine? I can't even see it in there ...Sorry for the long post!Oh and no I haven't had any more 'early labour' signs ...

Yeah it says on sale in all stores or log onto www.babiesgalore.com.au/bigbrands (http://www.babiesgalore.com.au/bigbrands)

Jaimie, that's a good question! I would phone the acupuncture ppl and ask about that. I am sure it will all be ok! Best of luck though.

L/L, hope your little one turns too, but if it doesn't happen in time I am sure it will work out for the best

R&T's Mum, oh that's a bummer about your sis, hopefully he will make his appearance soon! Can't wait to hear the news.......

So over work, wish I could finish up now. I am so tired and bored today! Only 5 more weeks of work if I can make it. On the other hand we got some great news this morning, we will be moving into our brand spanking new home in 3 weeks time, that's such a relief, I can't wait to set up Madison's nursery and show you all some pics!

M2B - that's so exciting you can move in 3 weeks!!! Congratulations! Can't wait to see the nursery set up. Have you bought everything?Apparently a lot of bubs are breech or turn breech just a couple of weeks before they're born and then turn back again just before birth. Fingers crossed this happens for everyone on here with breech bubs!Everything happens for a reason ...

Hi Girls,

Thanks for the link to the babies galore website...few things on there that i'd like!

BG-sorry to hear about your fine! I would write to them and explain that u are PG and that you forgot to pay and see if they let you off.

Jazzy - sorry to hear bub is still breach :fingerscrossed: it turns!

R&T- that is such a great idea! Mum and dad go to the states every year so i am going to do that this year when they go.

Sorry i can't remember anymore replies!
My only whinge today is that i have a sore back and have had for the last couple of days. I hope it goes away or i might be a very cranky pregnant lady in 7 weeks time

My new vaccum cleaner finally arrived today :yelclap: can't wait until we get home so DH can do the vacumming :p

Have a great day!

34 weeks today! For some reason this feels like a real milestone.

thanks for everyones' advice regarding outfits in 0000 and 000. I can't imagine 0000 fitting him for long either - they look sooo tiny (especially the bonds stuff).

we didn;t do any breathing techniques at our classes.

just had a chocolate paddle pop- it was soooo yummy! I had banana bread the other day too - that was totally delicious as well.

take care

Just got back from Drs. He said its probably not Deep vein thrombosis but some other thing i cant pronounce...he said to put my feet up!!!    I should have asked if he was going to look after Jazz while i did this! At least when Jazz and Dh go away for the night tomorrow i might get some rest.
Anyway i have just put Jazz in front of the tv so had better go and sit with her...feel like a bit of a meany when shes out there by herself!!

jazzysmum - what is it? Is it fluid retention or worse?

M2B - i cant believe you are working up til that close to the baby - maybe you should go part time for awhile? I finished work 6 weeks before due date, and i must say it is great but the time goes so SLOWLY now.

LL - how can they tell if you have much fluid or not?
We are also going to Kidsafe to get the carseat checked. We went to their seminar awhile back and it was really good, about kidsafeing your home.

Carrie - do you have a clothes dryer? Sometimes i put fluffy things in there to get the fluff off, but as for the fluff in the machine - it should proably not be lingering in there i wouldnt think? Maybe do a load with nothing in, to flush it out - how un environmental is that - oops!

M2B
01-02-2007, 04:02 PM
Firsttime - I would love to work part time at the moment but can't afford it with a new mortgage that is incredibly expensive. I was thinking I might end up finishing a week earlier then planned.

Jazzysmum - hope you get some rest tomorrow night and get to put your feet up!

I just phoned around and I have arranged for QLD Ambulance to install the baby seat, they do it for free if any other QLD mums want to use the service. They also present you with a safety certificate....it's worth calling them.

Nearly finished work for the day, then I am off the Babies Galore to get my SNS convertible car seat and anything else I see.....

Carrie - yeah I am so excited that we will finally get to move in. I have bought everything for her nursery - I splurged and got the matching Boori cot, change table etc....can't wait to set it up and show you all. I will have to show you all pics of the house too!

I wouldnt even know if she was in trouble?!!:( Or am i just being silly?

Nope not a silly question but I can help you there :D . The Dr turing the baby forces the baby to turn and turn quickly i.e. in the time the Dr is doing it. Thats why there is such a risk because sometimes babies are head up for a reason i.e. the cord is in the way, the placenta is in the way, the foot is stuck.......... what ever. With acupuncture, the acupunctuist doesn't turn the baby, they manipulate pressure points to stimulate the baby to be active and the baby turns by itself over several hrs. If there is an obstruction or it cant turn for some reason then it wont. So one is forcing it, the other is encouraging it. I have heard fantastic things about acupuncture for breech. Have you thought of trying the moxibustion? Thats supposed to be good too. There is also some herbal drink that herbalists concoct that is supposed to be good at getting babies moving.

Glad the Drs went ok. Bit scary when you start thinking things like DVT isn't it. I have a small clot in one of my finger joints at the moment that I need to get checked out at some point. Thankfully its in a small vein so its not an issue but has become more prominant since the increased blood flow kicked in.

Re babies galore..... Im KICKING myself. I spend all this money there (this place is like a babies galore show room) then the friend I met up with today reminded me she works there. DOH!!! Think of all the discounts I could have been getting. She was most upset with me.

Firstbub, congrats on 34 weeks. It is like a milestone for some reason isn't it?

its nice when everything comes together isnt it!! congrats on the house btw! i forgot to say that earlier!!
the boori range is absolutely gorgeous.. cant wait to see pics.. did you get the white or baltic?

anna how frustrating about Babies Galore!! i had decided against buying a new porta cot.. it was $300 down to $250 but now with the sale its down to $200!! i just cant say no to that :o so im going to get it also the baby bath and a gorgeous butterfly lamp for M. $500 later.. oops hehe.

i have never once had a baby seat installed for me.. always done it myself.. is that wrong?? im fanatical about doing it right and they seem fairly basic to put in but now im feeling bad like i might have missed something..

umm i only have 4weeks to go! :D everyone keeps saying i must just want the time to hurry up but i really dont! i love being pregnant and 4 weeks doesnt sound like long to organize everything i need to do.. im starting to freak out i think.. even know i know if she came early my mum would make sure everything was perfect before i got home from hospital but i dont want to put that on her.. i think i should go make a list and work out exactly what needs to be done. considering im classified full term next week i dont think i should be taking my time!

speaking of vaccuum cleaners.. that is the first thing i plan on buying with the baby bonus money! i hate my vac. hate it hate it hate it! chris bought it for me.. its one of those flashy bagless ones.. its disgusting to clean out.. i told him from day 1 i do not want more things to clean and he said no he will clean it :ecomcity: stupid me believed him.. silly girl i know lol. anyway he cleaned it the first time. you have to clean it pretty much EVERY time you vac! we have lived together for nearly 18months! and i vac atleast twice a week. good deal eh? hehe

Hi Ladies!

M2B - Congrats on the house! Bet you are both so relieved! It sure will be nice for you to be able to set up the nursery before she arrives lol!

Carrie - I would just do an empty wash too... Maybe just a rinse and spin though.

Gin - How you feeling today?? Hope you are feeling a bit better! Amity has a nasty little cough and she has her infection back.. (she had a staff infection the other week but had antibiotics for it, and now its back again and spreading..)

Shezi i am just off 36 weeks! (36 weeks on friday) You really put the time factor into perspective when u said that in 1 week you are considered full term! Holy Sh!t!! I better get my butt into gear!

Im gonna check out the babies galore website too :D

Anna - I knew that the Drs turned the bub manually but it never occurred to me that maybe they are laying like that for a reason! I definitely wont be letting them turn Griffin... If he doesnt turn himself then i guess it will be my worst nightmare (c/s) BUT at least i know he will be ok!

OMG!! That's amazing, only 4 weeks to go!! YAY - so excited for you Shezi, full term next week

I wasn't going to get the seat installed but felt bad when everyone started talking about it, so thought I should seeing it's free....

Anna, that sucks about forgetting your friend works in the store, I would be kicking myself. At least you know for next time you need to purchase something. Did you ever get a discount from them on any of your purchases? I hope you did!

Somthing not to do when you are 8 months pregnant... blow up 42 balloons!

It's the Festival of Bzzz tomorrow and each year I put baloons up over night as a surprise for DP. I'm guessing it's no longer a surprise. I have put them all in a duvet cover in the garage and will stick them up when he's asleep. We are having dinner tomorrow night for his birthday, don't know how I'm going to get high heels on my feet! Might have to strap them all day.

So which babies are breech so far? M2B >? Elmo and Jazzy?

Luckily toadlet is head down but big foot jamming me near the sternum.

LL - how can they tell if you have much fluid or not?
he checked with the ultrasound in his office, he said it was ok but not heaps so we prob won't try turning.
i agree with annsam's comments re laying that way for a reason. with my friend having an emergency c/s and being really positive, i am not as worried as i was. i AM going to look up acupuncturists in our area tho. i have tried acupuncture for other illness and general health and it seemed quite good.

on a much more exiting note, we picked up most of our layby! i say most - i asked dh if he might need another guy to help with the changetable as it has drawers/cupboard and he said no. then we got there and of course it was way too heavy and long. lol. so he has to go back with the trailer again (which means driving the cruddy old car). still we now have the cot and bassinet and i have been washing clothes and little sheets and towels, so cute! think i'm nesting just a little

Hey girls, just an update on me and bubs.

Went to Dr's today and they advised i have anterior placenta previa, which is actually covering my cervix (midwife was wrong :banghead:). Oh and Antonio is lying oblique (diagonal head down). So anyway i have to see the specialist Ob at the middy clinic in two weeks time as he not there next week so he can book me in for a C/s no later than 7th March, so it will be scheduled for either 37 or 38 weeks time - (so 4/5 weeks). She advised that Antonio is lying under my placenta, (uterus. placenta, baby) which means they will have to cut through the placenta to get to him. She said this was a high risk of haemaroging (sp?) for me, but not to worry as they will have the best OB there for me as well as lots of blood on stand by . (That didint really make me feel a lot better).

I kinda knew i'd be having a C/s but i didn't realise as no one told me til today that my placenta was in the way so to speak. They say bubs is fine and will be fine, im more of the concern.. :(.

Still i guess they do this all the time and i will be fine, and i get to meet him earlier :smiliedance:.

I will let you all know the date, as soon as i know .

Will check posts later just got some stuff to do..

AD78 - what big news. Try not to worry to much ( i know easier said than done), at least they "found" this out now, and it wasnt left to chance or left to a natural birth that could have complications. In other words, like you say, they will be fully prepared and they are equipped to cope with things like this.

AD - :hugs: for you! I agree with the others tho, at least u wont need an emergency c/s! At least this way they are aware of everything and no what to expect as the worst case scenario... remember tho that it IS the worst case scenario and wont necessarily happen!

So we have at least 2 oblique bubs here hey... i wonder if there is a reason for Griffin to be laying like he is... (maybe i have something in the way too..) Not long til my hospital appt now so i should know soon! It is on wednesday tho lol...

Well im gonna go watch some telly i think.. got bugger all sleep last night so i just need to veg out!

jaimie im the same with hand me downs.. seems silly to go out buying all new stuff though when everything M used is in perfect condition.. neither girls ever used the cot doonas hehe. i've filled 4 drawers and the hanging space in bubs cupboard with her big sisters things.. i think she only has like 10 new outfits.. thats including bonds suits and little body suits.. and the only reason i havent passed on the cot M & D used is coz D is still in it

LittleToad 42balloons?! i hope your man has a great day!

Thank you Jaimie, I think you're right, and today was a much better day! It's good to have support handy though for those dark days!
Good to hear it's not DVT, I wonder what it was he said? My leg veins are pretty yuck in the heat... makes me look kind of cellulitey as they fill with fluid, talk about gross!
Definitely the night off from Mummy duties should help!
*Just read your update, yay Roxy! Get that head down little one!

M2B- Congrats on the house! Must be nice to have the date nice and fixed, and looking forward to nursery pics.

R&T'sMum- your sister must be so frustrated! The poor thing, I hope the baby is ready soon...

Frangi, I will write to them, I sure hope they're compassionate and let me off (I want my dishwasher!!! LOL)

Congrats Firstbubonway! I know what you mean about 34 weeks, maybe it's also so momentus as we're in February now? I am enjoying freaking DH out by saying "we're gonna be parents next month!" he he

Oh Anna, how dare that preg brain make you forget a discount! NOT FAIR! Oh well, guess you'll need to shop more now that you've remembered, LOL

Thanks Lana, feeling a bit healthier today, I think it's just going to be a mild cold, hopefully anyway, lol. Poor little Amity, do you think she'll need the antibiotics again? It's hard seeing little ones sick isn't it! I can't imagine what it would be like with your own (though I guess I'll find out sooner rather than later, he he)

Wow LT, the festival of Bzzz sounds fun! Not the balloon bit though... he he
Hope you can get those spikes on!

Oh, and those of you with the hand me downs... you're probably still buying more stuff than me, oops, I think some people (some of my family that's for sure!) think I should be going a little more ga-ga, but I am so traumatised by my lack of storage space that shopping has lost a little of its sparkle, ROFL

Mum got me laughing really hard yesterday, and I couldn't believe how much it hurt the muscles on top of my bump! Ouchies, I hope they calm down soon, because with the sneezing and little feet there, I'm spending a lot of time squealing, then laughing (sound like a piglet myself!), then squealing again...

AD-what a shame the the placenta hasn't moved! But as others have said, so good that they've found it early, and you're right, you get to meet Antonio sooner!

Gosh, so much has been happening in this thread since this morning! All the dramas and excitements of the last few weeks I guess, I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone, especially when I think how long it took to start, LOL

I got up last night and put all the balloons up on the ceiling for the Festval of Bzzz. I'll take pictures today.

Bluegin.. your tummmy timline looks great Glad your day was a little more enjoyable today.

I had a cr@p day yesterday, getting angry at Jackgreen electricity (NEVER USE THEM!!). They withdrew money from my account even thogh i pay a monthly fee and my usage has gone down. I had to pay $35 over drawn fee... and after 3 phone calls they still dont get it.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day

Hey girls, just an update on me and bubs.

Went to Dr's today and they advised i have anterior placenta previa, which is actually covering my cervix (midwife was wrong) Oh and Antonio is lying oblique (diagonal head down). She said this was a high risk of haemaroging (sp?) for me, but not to worry as they will have the best OB there for me as well as lots of blood on stand by. (That didint really make me feel a lot better).

I kinda knew i'd be having a C/s but i didn't realise as no one told me til today that my placenta was in the way so to speak. They say bubs is fine and will be fine, im more of the concern.. :(.

AD big :hugs: for you. Anyway better than finding out after hours of labour and a distressed baby. As for haemorhaging, 5% of women do haemorhage for varying reasons and most dont know they are at risk but they will be there prepared for you so you cant really get any better care than that. Plus anterior placenta is really common and c/s rate is 40% so its not an unusual scenario for the Ob therefore hes well experienced with this, it wont be traumatic and at least you are going to be given a d-day! :) Hon, there is nothing more you can do. You cant birth vaginally with cervix covered......even partially and the risk has been identified already so you'll get the best of care. Hope you are feeling better about it today.

Firsttime, could very well be the plug but it can still be weeks before actually going into labour so dont get too excited just yet. :p Not long to go though.

Well I feel like ****. Didn't get much sleep between dog next door barking and throwing its ball around on wood right under our window and DH getting up to work at 3am. Im so tired but have a busy day. At least DS is in daycare today so I can go through my day like a zombie.

Hi girls

Well had my 36 week hospital visit yesterday and all was fine...in and out as usual! Bubs head is still down but not engaged. My next one is on 1 March where they will book the induction if I havent had bub by then. Bub will come before any need for an induction though :D I have my weekly appointment with my GP in the mean time

Well flooding up here, rain rain rain.... I'm tired of the wet weather. we had 10 inches in 24 hours yesterday and 10 inches the week before so its a lot. Now we have some cyclone watches around. Hope they stay away.

AD glad they know what is happening down there. At least you can prepare.

:fingerscrossed: Roxy has turned too.

I bought a breastfeeding Zoo Pillow yesterday and my new Oi Oi Nappy bag. On the way out a lady stopped me and told me the pillow was the best thing she ever bought.

Well this has been all about me so better go, have a good day

LT- thanks mate, hey, I love your holiday snap! You too have the belly button trying its darndest to pop out at the top hey?

I have a cough this morning, could Amity have coughed on the modem Lana? Hmm?

Another lovely day here (though 'twill be hot!), yesterday I was inspired to clean some windows (only vinegar and my squeege, no water wastage) and although I didn't get many done before boredom hit, the ones I did make such a difference! Slowly but surely the house it being pulled (read:dragged) in to shape, it may just be ready for a baby in a month! woohoo!

This baby had better hurry up though... I now have a teensy little purple line on the top of my bump! Oh I will be a reeeal sooky la-la if the top of my tummy gets as many stretchies as the bottom! LOL, I guess I can just keep telling myself that it means Bubble is chubbing up  ;)

AD - :hugs: As all the other girls have said at least they know now and can be prepared. A girl friend of mine had placenta prevaria as well and was also given all the worst case senarios. After she had a small bleed they performed the cs a bit earlier than they expected but she and the baby were fine with no transfusions or complications. My girlfriend was out of bed in no time and recovered really well. We just celebrated Alyissa's 2nd birthday!

Wow, 42 balloons - don't know how you managed that!

A/D :hugs: must be hard for you! Hope it all goes well, at least you will get to meet bubba a little earlier

F/T that is exciting, maybe you will be meeting your bubba very soon! Keep us posted on what's happening.

Tazzy, I wanted to get one of those bf pillows, hope the weather calms down. It's been raining here all night but not too bad.

Thanks BlueGin! DP plays with my belly button pretending it's going to eat his finger.
I've also deiscovered I have a tiny freckle inside my belly button.. something I never knew! It kind of looks like a volcano crator. it started popping oout around 5 months.

I haven't forgotten your pattern, just need to get some newspaper.

LOL, I think belly buttons are fascinating, I've got a weeny little mole that now shows! I hadn't realised actually how much had come out till I was looking in the mirror this morning and notice a very large paler area well out from what I now call my belly button, ha ha, it used to be inside!

That's cool, I look forward to it when it arrives!

You are making me nervous! I have my ob appt on Thursday and get scan referral to have my scan so I'll be about 35 weeks when I have scan. I hope my placenta has moved ... I'm not meant to finish work to 2 March (37 weeks) so if they do c/s's this early I will prob have to basically finish end of next week or as soon as I have got the results anyway.

I got up last night and put all the balloons up on the ceiling for the Festval of Bzzz. I'll take pictures today.

What is Festival of Bzzz?

hi Girls,

Carrie - my due date is the 23rd of March but when i first fell pg they kept changing it so I thought I'd put mid march.

One day difference! When I first had my ob appointment he thought I was a couple of days behind what we thought my dates were as I'd only been off the pill for a month or less and so you can't get accurate dates til your cycle goes back to normal about 3 months later without the pill. The 21 week scan showed I was right on with the original date of 24 March but now I'm thinking I could be behind that - go back to 4 April lol - as I keep seeing pg ladies and if I talk to them and they're bigger than me most are behind me so it's really weird.

Don't feel sick today but very tired ... I am so over working but I only have 4 weeks to go!!! (unless scan says i Need a c/s) ...

33 WEEKS TODAY!!!

Well the rain has stopped at the moment so with a bit of luck DH will have a chance to mow our lawn which is getting very high.
Not sure who is getting it now but I also have the SNS royal carseat that DS was in from birth. He is still in at at the moment until bubs moves into it from the capsule.

How many boxes of newborn nappies is everyone getting?? I just looked through DS's records and I think he may have been in them up until 10weeks old round a bouts, I have bought 3 boxes but also a friend was asking. I think I went through maybe 5 cause DS went through about 10-15 nappies per day! Not sure though. And if we have a bigger baby he/she may be out of newborn nappies earlier. Its a bit hard trying to guess. Any ideas??

Great baloons LT!

Ive only brought 1 box so far but will get another box in my next online shop. I remember Sam went through like 12 a day or something silly. Still haven't decided between disposables or cloth so holding out a bit.

Today has just been 'one of those days'. You know the ones where everything just doesn't go as planned.

Anyway, lunch time.

Well i just got back from having acoffee and cake all by myself!! It was so nice to be all alone and read a magazine...aahhh. Soon i am off to have a facial and my toesies painted and then i will grab a chickflick and something greasy for dinner and chill on the couch!!
Firsttime- thats what mine looked like last time. I went into labour exactly 24hrs after it came out. this could be it or as Annsam said it could be weeks away..either way still very exciting news.
Nappies- I went through a few boxes of newborn ones with Jazz. You will probably use about 10 or more a day at the start so 3-4 boxes shouldnt be too many. Also of you buy the Huggies boxes and you dont use a box then they should let you exchange it for the boy/girl ones in the next size up...did that make any sense??
I am still so happy Roxy has turned!! Such a relief!!:smiliedance:
Oh and i think the Dr said (about my leg) that it was a pooling of viscous(sp) fluid..? And he gave me a slip to get an ultrasound if it gets worse..

this is what i was going to say hehe. as long as the nappies are still in their box you can return them for a bigger size. so far i have 3 boxes and a bulk pack(half a box i guess) so im not going to buy anymore.. but im sure my girls used atleast 4 boxes each.

sounds like you have had a great day so far! enjoy your hubby & child free time!!!

i took the girls to the shop earlier and they were little angels!! i didnt even take a pram coz i just needed a few things from kmart.. finally got D to keep shoes on but they rashed up her ecxema(sp?) around her ankles.. so she walked holding both my hand and M's.. and i carried her the other half the time.. but i picked up another maternity bra for $20.. and a nightie.. was going to get the same pair i had already had but dont want the midwives to think i wear the same jamas every night :o lol.
i think i have everything for hospital now.. just got to pick up my pants that are being taken up tomorrow then im all done.

love the balloons LT. how on earth did you get them on the ceiling? i hope you didnt balance on a chair :shame: lol only joking! i can actually picture you doing that lol.

anna yes i know all about those days!! the weather is meant to be really hot this weekend so im trying to think of places to take the kids coz i dont want to be stuck at home.. its like a sauna in here!

lana 10am!! i wonder if she could talk to my girls?? hehe. no i cant complain lately.. coz they've been up later at night.. 8.30 or 9pm D has been sleeping in till after 7.30!! although the little bugger had me up 3 times through the night last night.. M has been sleeping till after 8am! and she still sleeps for 2hours through the day! i get about 1.5hours out or D.

i recieved an enrolment pack for M for kindy next year.. i love all this stuff! im not looking forward to her going but i cant wait to buy everything she needs and seeing her in a kindy uniform.. they like enrolments to be in by the end of june but with the bub and all i thought i'd get it in before she's due!

Are the b/f pillows you girls are talking about different to normal triangle/boomerang pillows? I was going to use the spare one of those. Hopefully it's comfy.

I got my white cane chair & matching cushion to sit on in the chair and have put in EB"s room - that's the last thing for the nursery! I have to still wash the sheets/blankets/towels etc now then it's all ready - until my baby shower on Sunday - when I get the gifts delivered from the ppl doing it (a company called LifeBaby organises it and does a registry then ppl order what I need and they wrap it etc and deliver it to my house!) then I have to wash more :banghead:

They have the OiOi bags there but $150. I like the pink one which I also saw in Babies Galore months ago but I didn't think they'd be very practical as the straps didn't seem very big and I want it to hang on the back of the pram so I don't need to carry it. I would luv it as hand bag though!

I might still put the one I like on the registry (which I feel uncomfortable about) in case some ppl want to go in together for a bigger gift - Do they have adjustable straps to go on the pram?

Guy i work for was meant to take me and another girl who used to work here out for lunch but post-poned til next week as he had to go to lunch with one of the partners :crying: I ended up just going to the eatery & buying some honey chicken but after one bite I felt sick. I bought a book - the Devil Wears Prada which is so far so good! I was reading all the time until I fell pregnant & it made me sick! Lol. I think I will borrow a couple of my sister's book for hospital as she is a bookaholic.

I was gonna say something else but forgot ...

Ah well ... have a good afternoon girls!

Anna - you look amazing - so trim!
Elmo - yes i am hot. Just got back from Kmart where i bought a snoopy nighty, and its really a bad time of day to shop - way too stinking hot.

I went to my Ob this morning, only had to wait 1 hour, last week i had to wait 4 hours and 10 minutes - yes that is no mistake my appointment was 130pm and i saw her at 540pm. And that was the day after i got discharged from hospy so i was all tired, emotional, and in pain!

Anyway, she told me not to get excited about the mucous, and she took a swab for Strep B. Thankfully only vaginal, not rectal.
Baby is now 2600grams.
Then i went to my last class at the hospital, called "Its your labour" and i thought it was a class just for the girls so had told DH not to worry, then all husbands and partners turned up, so i got upset and left in tears. They had bean bags and pillows and stuff to get down on the floor, and i was on my own!
What the? Rang DH crying telling him HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE etc. Oh dear, hope i dont go into labour before the next session:eek:
Poor Dh wont want to come home today after that phone call, silly me:banghead:

Carrieb - i was hoping to get away with the triangle pillow too, but i think the girls are talking about a special bf pillow - and i think they are expensive.....

Looks really good! But I don't think it'd fit around me in my cane chair i got - I'll prob end up sitting on the couch most of the time anyway lol or in bed.

First time - what a terrible day you've had! I hope you are relaxing and calming down before DH comes home! I can't believe how long your ob made you wait last time - I thought 1 hour was bad enough! Last time I had no wait so that was gr8.

I am nervous about the 'swab'. About how many weeks are you when they do this?

This afternoon is really quiet. Don't think work David will be coming back this afternoon or if he does it'll be after 4.30pm anyway prob. Then the other girl I work for, Amy, said she doesn't feel like doing anything - we've been chatting for 15 mins or something about babies! Lol. Then the other one, Sara, is quiet as well.

Everyone seems to know Krystal (aka lazy girl) is leaving today so since she hadn't actually told me I said to her before 'so when are you leaving?' And she said wed week (valentine's day!). I asked where she was going and she said 'another company ...' Most ppl would expand on that ... So I asked if it were another law firm & she said no while laughing & I asked her if it were secretarial work and she laughed again and said no and that's it! How weird ... Maybe she'll go work full time for this promotional company she already works for as well (only the boys know - I found the card cleaning out David's cards!). I looked the website up and it said 'providing professional alluring models ...' She isn't in the model pics but on the front page there is a changing pic and one of them has her from her chest to her hips on it & you can tell it's her.

I just told Amy also that if I have this scan & shows I have to have a c/s (hope not!) then I won't be staying til 37 weeks, I'd be finishing up then and there at about 35 weeks & she's all worried now! Lol ... They don't want me to leave!

Can't wait for weekend - facial & back scrub tomorrow (and a look around the shops on my own - gonna get DH to drop me & pick me up!) and then baby shower Sunday afternoon where there are a couple of ppl I haven't seen for like 5-10 yrs coming as we have been back in touch for last yr or so but never had a chance to get together. They have babies too!

Oh btw ... if you have the same probs as me at home with bad swelling feet & ankles after sitting at the home computer for a mere 10 mins even, I found a bucket of cold water with some bath crystals (or whatever you want) in it stops that - I even added ice yesterday. DH had a big bag in the freezer he'd been saying he needs to get rid of so i broke some off & put it in but then it was so painfully cold! It melted quickly though and eventually put my feet back in. Anyway, the bucket stays near the computer now! Lol ...

Sorry this is a big post!!!

Shezi - your girls sounded great at the shops, what a nice time you must have had, maybe they thought they were getting presents? he he he. no really, they sound like angels.....hey what nightie did you get?

 yeah probably! they did share a curly wurly.. then had a ride in one of those ride on car thingys and then had a sausage roll and chips.. might explain the good behaviour hey?! haha

i bought one from kmart.. its pretty basic.. blue with some design(flowers i think lol) on one of the lower sides. only $16 coz of their sale! got a singlet top and 3/4 pants set the other day for $20.. i love it, so comfy!! im only just realising the bargains.. my pjs almost always come from bras n things.. so do my bras actually but the 2 i have bought from kmart are just as good!

AD big for you. Hon, there is nothing more you can do. You cant birth vaginally with cervix covered......even partially and the risk has been identified already so you'll get the best of care. Hope you are feeling better about it today.

Thanks Annsam, only you could put it so nicely :hugs:. I'd be lying if i said i wasn't a bit worried, and hard not to think about, but im feeling a lot better today about it all. Im sure when i have a date i will get anxious again though. But like you and others have said, i get to meet my little man earlier and that is a good thing! :smiliedance:. Knowing the date (when i get one) will also officially give me something to look forward too.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words and :hugs:, very much appreciated.

Melb is fkn hot again! I cant stand this heat while pregnant... :banghead: Makes me feel sick, and blah and you perth girls know the rest LOL. Cold showers, bucket of cold water and washing my face every 5 mins.. pain in the ass!

Annsam, where are you hiding your baby.. you look friggen amazing! *jealous*

Firsttime - 4hrs??????? Screw that i would of walked out and made another appt, how annoying. Then again im impatient, i get ****ed if i have to wait 30mins over. LOL.

Got an email yesterday from legal firm in U.K confirming they have recieved the signed forms, so should have my money on monday.. will come in handy for bubs, as now i know only have 4ish weeks left, need to get my ass into gear and fully stock up properply. Still need some me things too and a few more of them for a longer hospy stay LOL.

As for nappies since im using majority clothies, i only got 1 box of newborn, these will be used for going hme from hospy, going out /visits to friends etc just for convinence.

LT how on earth did u manage to blow up all them balloons? Crazy woman! They look fabbo tho.

CarrieB dont stress yet, you may not even need a C/s.

Love the zoo BF pillows, that would fit nicely around me and my comfy chair.. hmmm mute just have to go and buy me one of those heheh.

Oh and the due date post is a great idea too, will add my date as soon as i have one.

Just fell over on our wet tiles. I had DS in my arms too but I think I landed softly if you can land softly!! Do you think that all would be fine or should I get checked out. Bub is kicking away and I just have sore ankle/elbow. Landed on my bum!! I said to DH I hope I dont go into labour tonight as I am SOOOO not ready. I dont think there is a need to see a doc or anything if I dont have any pain/bleeding etc. Just thought I should check with my fellow wise march mummies and mummies to be.

Ah girls your all so kind! Its not like any of you are exactly huge and spreading yourselves LOL. Im just stoaked I got around to taking a photo before baby popped out. Ive only been meaning to do it for about 25 weeks. LOL.

T/S, Hope you recover from your fall. Hows your little one? I personally wouldn't bother unless you think there is something wrong but then Im a bit under-cautious sometimes.

A/D, contrats re the money coming through. Its natural to be a bit worried too but they do have to tell you worst case scenario to cover themselves.

Re the breastfeeding pillows, are they necessary? Whats the advantage? Ive seen them but haven't seen them used.

Jaimie, so glad that Roxy has turned for you. You have every right to be wrapped!! :yelclap: Gald you had a nice pamper day. Its fantastic to have a day like that isn't it?

Hmmmm........ nothing going on. Hoping for a better nights sleep. Wont be far from that tonight I dont think.

Sleep well girls.

 me too! wait till yous see my 8month pic!

taryn im sure all is well.. i'd definately be getting checked out if i fell on my belly or if bub wasnt moving as much or something didnt feel right.. im a stress head though! i wouldve rang health direct by now or the midwives lol. lucky it was just your bum! hehe i remember falling over a box at the shops while preg with D and holding M.. i went on my back coz i didnt want either of them hurt... back was so sore though!! never got checked out then and all was fine :D

anna im a shocker.. i have like one or two photos with my head in them! not good.. must remember to take some in the next 4 weeks.. i like to have atleast 1 or 2 in their baby books.. when preg with M i took photos weekly.. actually more often :o lol!

oh and i havent used a bf pillow either.. but then my girls havent fed for longer than 10minutes at a time so i never had aching arms or anything.. maybe if they were hour feeders i might look into it..

theres no way i would wait 4 hours for an appt either. i always ring first to make sure he's on time coz i refuse to wait with the girls.. usually he's still a half hour from when i get there anyway.. he's at a doctors surgery thingy so it might be different to call him than an obstetrician..

firsttime yep thats the one.. didnt see the matching top & pants though.. mustve sold out! damn..

i guess i just keep thinking how the heck would i keep my girls occupied for 4hours waiting for an ob! hehe i'd have to pack a picnic

carrie the swab test is done around 36weeks as far as i know.. must feel nice to know that your work dont want you to leave!! hope you have a great day sunday! it'll be nice to catch up with your friends hey!

oh i forgot i have to whinge.. im having such a cr@p time with private health.. i think we're going to cancel it once bub is born. we switched back to medibank from HBF coz they are better.. hbf is just cheaper.. we're paying nearly double a fortnight now.. anyway they are stuffing me around.. each time i talk to someone they tell me something else i had no idea about.. the other day i rang and they said i wasnt even covered for a private hospital!
nice thing to tell someone who is about to have a baby in a matter of weeks!
anyway turns out he stuffed up.. so today rang again to double check everything and found out the took $350 out of chris's bank to pay us up till march (so much for fortnightly payments..) so now his account is -$200 coz we had no idea that money was going.. this guy then went on to say that my cover with hbf didnt include obstetrics so i'd have to wait the 12months before having a baby at a private hospital.. well i then informed him i have 4 weeks to go! and he went off to check and said he got it wrong and yes i am covered..
im just so damn confused!! i dont want to leave hospital with a huge bill coz they stuffed up! he also said i have to get my doctor and my ob to fill in seperate forms for a 'previous ailment' and that these must be back before i have the baby.. i said my doctor IS my ob and he said that wont work... idiot!
im peeved.. i only stayed in private health to have this baby at the same hospital as her sisters.. i already have to be 45minutes away from them and im still being stuffed around.. so now i have to ring medibank again on monday to talk to someone else and see what they say! no doubt theres more forms to fill in i dont know about yet..:banghead:

ok thanx girls.. whinge officially over!

carrie - i had strep b swab at 36 weeks.

shezi - i agree with private health sucking. i would consider next time (not that there will be a next time), going public. there are some good public hospitals in perth, i have heard good things about osborne park hospital for example.

maybe you need to get something in writing from medibank, so you have something later to say "look at this", if they kick up and try to make you pay more?

I hope you're having a great night Lana, sounds fun, and nice to have had the sleep in to get yourself ready!

Jaimie, I'd be doing a happy dance myself after Roxy turning, pretty awesome news. Hope the movie and take out are good.

Shezi, great shopping trip! Sucky about the private cover though, I'm with Medibank too, they're great in terms of benefits, so I hope they can get themselves sorted so you don't have to stress!

Anna, that is a lovely avatar pic! Though I'll admit it, I'm not quite sure how you're fitting lungs and a stomach in there with a baby... :p

Taryn- Sounds like you acted fast enough by landing how you did, I'm sure bubs is fine :hugs:

I think I need to head to KMart! Sounds like that's where the bargains are

Good news about the money AD, and agreed, this weather is rank. And it's only getting worse in the next few days...

I am up and it is only 5am:eek: ! I should be sleeping in but of course not, my stupid body gets me up now.
Tazzystone- You poor hing! i hope you arent too sore! I would think bubs will be ok, as someone else said there is all that fluid so probably just had a bit of a bounce in there. (I actually did the same thing the other day chasing Jazz down the hallway after a bath because the little poop wouldnt let me dry her off and i slipped in the water. Bloody hurt!)Shezi- Hope you get it sorted soon. Not really the kind of thing you need to have to worry about now.:hugs:

Hi all!

Jazzy you are crazy! You should be sleeping in with the house to yourself!

Ad- wish I'd have some $$$ appear out of the blue (don't want anyone to die on me though)

Tazzy - hope you ok! There should be enough fluid in there to keep bubs safe!

Shezi- I know what you mean about being stuffed around by private health cover. I had a similar thing happen recently with MBF. They promised to call me back like 5 times because I go the sh*ts with having to go through their 10 min phone intro...you know the press 1 now cr$p. Do you think they ever called me??? My mum eventually called them and listened to all the into because I told her I would lose the plot if I had to go through it all again!

Annsam - love the tummy pic you look great!

Well we have such a busy day today! Off to look at blinds for our house, then to our 3 hr antenatal class, then we're picking up our tall boy and then we're going out for dinner with my brother and his GF...

Also good news we sold my massage table and our futon on ebay so :yelclap: I'm happy. Futon is getting picked up tomorrow so DH can set up the cot!:smiliedance:

Anna :fingerscrossed: bubby turns back! the march babies are cheeky.. maybe they should be the march monkeys instead of piggies!

Thanx heaps LT! speaking of little tums where the heck do you hide that baby? hehe :D i bet you'll have one of the bigger bubs too.. toadlet is just well hidden!

im so glad i dont retain much fluid and end up with swollen ankles and what not.. that'd suck.. the dr thinks im carrying a bit of fluid but nothing noticeable IMO.

jaimie i hope you get to have another nap before they come home. could you let me know how the lakehouse is too please i've been meaning to hire it. im pretty shocking at sleeping in hospitals so i think im going to pack heaps of dvds and take chris's laptop to watch them hehe.

as for health insurance i guess it is my own fault for leaving it so late between switching back but still i dont think i deserve the run around they're giving me! i'll be taking M to the dentist this week.. she was sitting on the edge of my parents pool so she turned around and slid in but smashed her mouth on the bricks and chipped her front tooth.. not noticeable but she had already done the other one before she turned two.. she was racing chris up the side of the house and she fell on the path.. nearly knocked her tooth out!! took her to get xrays but she wouldnt sit still so they said she'd have to be put under general  needless to say that didnt happen and her teeth are ok. thankfully they're just her baby teeth!!

firsttime im hoping there is a next time  and i just know if we cancelled the cover that the hospital around the corner would reopen.. typical! great idea about getting something in writing though! will have to do that.

frangi 3hr antenatal class? is it a once off?

Hey girls:wave:

Im back .....for a lil while at least
Our computer is stuffed so have been internet less for ages.
Im staying at my mums this week until thurs. minding her cat while shes off holidaying in paradise (aka QLD)

I havent read any posts but will endeavor to do so when O goes to bed tonight.

Just a quick post to let you know whats been going on with me and bubs....

On monday i had a scan as the middie mistook our lil girls boney a** for her head lol BUT she is facing down and fully engaged so will hopefully come anytime now:fingerscrossed:

Had contractions last night so was hoping today would be D Day But they have pittered out this morning:thumbsdown:

Apart from that everything is good....just have no more patience for dh or O atm so staying at my mums this week should be good as she has a HUGE block of land for O to run around in, a pool and a cat to keep him occupied!

Hope everyone is well and all bubby's are doing good.

Morning March Mummies ...Had an ok sleep since the rain yesteday cooled things down a bit - I had the sheet over one leg at least last night plus the ceiling fan on full as per usual - DH had the dooner on lol ...Got up this morning & surprised to see it was 7.30! I came and lay on the couch & fell asleep again & woke up just after 9. Feel better now - about to go get DH to drop me at Carindale (a Westfield shopping centre) to have a look at the shops (on my own!) and go get my pampering done. Think I will see if I can use the $7 credit I'll have left over to get my eyebrows waxed today as well.I'm gonna have a look at baby things in Best&Less and will go to Lowes and see if I can get a cheap big man's shirt for the labour. The hospital suggested an old shirt or nightie of DH's but he is skinny as a rake & they barely fit me normally let alone with Bubs in the way! I'd wanted to just wear a hospy gown but they seemed to think I should bring my own shirt - even though I plan to have an epi anyway & they'll need to put a gown on me then for the sexy backless look.Shezi - I have only taken those pics I posted the other day - all headless shots mind you! I will def take the camera to the baby shower tomorrow though & get some pics. Monster-In-Law took some pics when I was 11 & 12 weeks - at 11 weeks it was DH's b'day & I took him skydiving at Redcliffe & there was a nice photo of the 2 of us I wanted to put in EB's scrapbook but I can't find the photos & now I seem to have lost the scrapbook! It has just DISAPPEARED!!! I used to always think I looked fat in photos but I saw that one & thought I looked really good - prob cos of the size of me now lol.Private Health Insurance - we are with Medibank and had a couple of issues with them in the beginning when DH had some probs with his kidneys & had to have surgeries done. The dr ended up putting him in as intermediate. We are prob going to cancel it after bubs is born anyway - you pay so much for so little these days - we even have to bring nappies & wipes to the hospital! Unless DH gets this promotion - his boss asked yesterday cos so many ppl are leaving if he'd like to be Leadman (like a foreman but 2nd in charge) so more pay & company phone - he's trying to talk him into a company car since he taxi's half of them to work anyway lol. There was something else I was gonna reply to but I forgot - it was something to do with Frangi ... I'll have to post this & go back and see! PS Who was saying once they changed programmes instead of Internet Explorer their smilies etc worked on here? I was wondering how I go about doing this?Have a gr8 day girls xxx

YAY sarah :smiliedance: nice to see you back! i cant wait to see who the first march mummy is!

my girls are being monsters today.. its so hot and they're bored.. and mummys bored and tired and sweaty.. we're not a good combo in the heat!

i have a bit of a dilemma.. i have the girls in swimming lessons one after the other so D is at 9am and i go in the water with her while M watches from the side of the pool then M goes in at 9.30 with the instructor.. while we watch her.. prob is what the heck am i going to do when the baby comes??
i tried to arrange lessons on a sunday as thats chris's only day off but they lady doesnt work sundays which is fair enough.. its her only day off too hehe. then my friend whos daughter swims with M offered to take D into the water but she told me yesterday she's starting a new job and wont be able to help.
D can go in by herself with the instructor but they like them to be closer to 2 theres no chance of this happening yet obviously.. i thought of mum but she only gets tuesday & wednesdays off so i dont want her to feel she's stuck.. i just really really really dont want to pull her out of swimming.. and i wont put a newborn into the creche.. actually i wont put any of them in a creche.. the main prob at the moment is i wont be able to go into the water with D for atleast a couple of weeks after bub is born for obvious reasons and i have no-one to help.
its the sad reality of having no close friends.

for the girls that love toys r us.. check out the catalogue on their website.. it will be there wednesday and the sale starts thursday.. as far as i know its meant to be some sort of baby week! thats when im hoping to pick up another cot.. does anyone get the toysrus catalogues in the mail? obviously they think i live too far away coz i have never recieved one..

lana i hope you're better soon. and glad you had a great night out!

shezi - i cant see a catalogue on Toyrus website - only their baby book, which is all year round. Maybe i'll try again later. I live 2 minutes from a store and i dont get a catalogue, but my sister who gets the Sunday Times home delivered always gets a catalogue in the paper, although i buy a sunday times from the shop it never has a catalogue, go figure??

I am not sure about your swimming dilemma,
maybe talk to the instructor about letting D go in on her own - with the instructor helping out, i know its not ideal, but you will be right there by the side of the pool, and surely new mums must have had this dilemma before, so maybe the instructor is used to looking after a child for a few weeks?
I feel for you, and hope you can come up with something. How about Chris negotiates 2 hours off from work on that day for awhile?

AD - my baby is having some slow days too, it freaks me out. I am so glad i have the heartbeat monitor, i use it from time to time, just to feel better!

Elmo - i cant believe how motivated you are to go out - i couldnt be bothered right now! I will endeavour to find the photo to see how much fun you guys had!

It's so darn hot in Perth again today, am going to the movies this arvo, to see the Holiday. Tried to book Gold Class but the Holiday isnt showing in Gold Class any more, not happy!

Welcome back nemosmum, wow cant wait to hear some news that someone has had their bub or that contractions have started.

LT I used to work for an accounting firm but I cant remember when the BAS was due...prego brain!!

Yeah I will start perenium massage this weekend I think too. I read that you should start it around 36 weeks, bugger doing that before then. My DH will do mine and just like your DP LT, he has been hanging all pregnancy for it  . We did it last time and I still got stiches but I think its still worth it.

Thanks for all your comments about my fall. Its always great to hear what other people think. Bub is fine though, moving around. Was a little quiet this morning but its picked up since then.

I have been busy doing the nursery/my room and feel like I'm getting somewhere. Still have loads of washing to do but dont like using the dryer too much and it makes the clothes not smell as nice if they dry naturally. So I may wait until some sunshine but that could be a week or so away!! Still raining.

Oh just wondering if anyone has though about whether they will demand breastfeed or do it by the set hours?? I demand fed last time but I think I may look into the other way. I have some friends who fed every 3-4 hours and they seem to have much more settled bubs. I dont know what to do probably just see what bubs wants to do I guess. Logan fed for about an hour at a time to start with!! And he was feeding every 2 hours so I felt like he was always on my boob! Once Logan went onto formula at 6 months it made life so much easier cause he was in such a good routine and was much more settled on 4 hourly feeds! I will look in the breastfeeding forum though and see what everyone thinks these days.

OK well we are off to look at land for sale.

Have a great Sat night. We are having Tacos

LT whats bas?? about the pestering dp!

shezi - i cant see a catalogue on Toyrus website - only their baby book, which is all year round.

How about Chris negotiates 2 hours off from work on that day for awhile?

the catalogue will be up on the site wednesday
only prob with the instructor helping out is that D is in a class with 4 or 5 other little ones so it wouldnt be fair on them.. im sure i'll come up with something! no chance of chris.. he works in canningvale and leaves at 5.30am, also he drives with my brother to share petrol costs.. thanx for the ideas though!!:hugs:

thanx AD. im sure mum will help out but i know theres no chance of her getting in the pool hehe she's funny like that.
my bub is having a quiet day today also! i was freaking out before so i ate some ice and that got her moving lol.

shezi - oh yeah, catalogue wednesday, silly me :banghead:
ok, i have another idea, what about you approach a different instructor, maybe one that does the class before yours, or a student or something, and pay them to do the class with D, once again you would be right there watching, and if you got a newly qualified girl or something, they might need to do some hours of prac anyway? it might cost you $10 or $15, but might be worth looking at? As long as they could commit to a few weeks, so D would feel comfortable with them, without chopping and changing each week. It might just help out in the beginning whilst it really is hard for you to juggle everything....

LT - check the ATO website for Bas due dates maybe?

Tazzystone - i have been wondering the same thing - with the feeds debate. I have bought a book called The Little Contented Baby, and started reading it, its about routines. I have heard some good comments and some negative comments on it, but overall a few of my friends who have followed it, swear by it. Not sure what i'll do yet, but would be very interested in hearing other mothers thoughts.....

Afternoon girls ...Sarah it's so exciting you could be going any time!!!Well I've had a gr8 day. DH dropped me at Carindale about an hour & a half before my appointment & I only managed to get to 2 shops in that whole time lol. If you are looking for stuff for hospy Supre & JayJays have some really good things and a lot of it is reduced. From Supre I got a pink singlet with wider straps to cover my bra straps for once and 3 pairs of stretchy shorts - black with white stripes on side, pink with white stripes, pale green with stripes. Then from JayJays I got 3 baby doll singlets with tie up straps - easy to b/f - I liked the one I tried on so got one in each colour - white, pink & green, and I also got a baby doll summer dress with tie up straps too - I luv my dresses! And I got a baby doll, very comfy, halter dress as well which is pink across the boobs & tie up and pink & gray stripes.Went & had my treatments done then. I asked when I got there if I could put the $7 credit towards eyebrow wax but they couldn't fit me in til 3 or 4pm so said no. Then I was po'd cos they said I was too far pregnant to have the back scrub!!! I said I was told I could lay on my side but she said save it for when bubs is born. But then I ended up getting more than my voucher anyway as I think they felt bad - today they ended up doing the skin radiance facial (which was booked), they chucked in the eyebrow wax and also a specialist hydration treatment which was devine and gave me a voucher for my foot & back treatments and extended the voucher til end of September!!! I'm stoked! My skin feels amazing after the hydration thing and facial. It has been so dry since being pregnant. It look so good I don't wanna have a shower tonight! After that I went to B&L and from Best & Less I got an oversized guy's t-shirt - like XXL or something for labour - just dark blue so doesn't show up too much blood! (Sorry!) It was only $5 so that was good. I wanted to try & get a more girly colour but the only one I found was a nice purple but it said 'Bad Boy' across the front Lol. There was a guy's muscle shirt that said something about needing to lay the blame on someone - thought that was appropriate lol but didn't get it. I also got EllaBella 2 little 0000 outfits. So cute.I feel guilty about the money but I just look at it this way - I got so much for what I spent as everything pretty much was reduced and on sale and I have everything for the hospital now. Just need maybe one more pack of nursing pads - I have 2 so far ubt told you go through heaps - and 2 more packs of maternity pads - I have 2 of those 2 and was told to get 4 but it doesn't matter too much for the pads as DH or mum can go get them if I run out. Maybe I need to just get one more cheapo pack of undies but that's all. Got my lollies last night too - Starburst Chews - Yum. Mum was laughing we need to bring lollies saying they should provide any food. Ah well. I'm sure I'll need the energy.Sorry for the 'Me' post. I just feel so good now and I am sitting here with my feet soaking in a bucket of cold water & frangipani bath/shower gel. I put only a little bit of ice in this time as last time it was too much but it's melted already & i need more.Have a good day!

Hi girls,

LT, I love almond oil but havent' done and probably wont do the massage. The feeling annoys me. LOL. Poor DH.

Re feeding, will probably do a mixture of both. DS was clock feed for the most but was formula fed so that was fairly easy as he loved routine. This one I feel is going to be very different.

Firsttime, Ive heard good things about that book but haven't read it. Love Robin Barkers Baby Love. Get used to everyone having mixed opinions too LOL. I have never come across such divided and strong opinions in my life than I did when I first became a Mum.

Hmmmm...... cant remember what else. Just made a huge bowl of fruit salad so mgiht go tuck into that now.

It's the best thing I have ever seen! My li'l brother got it for me so he did well!mmm...just got DH to put roast lamb on for an early tea. Smells good already & only just went in. Told him to put mint in the gravy & when I boild the green vegies I'll put mint, garlic & salt in the water! Yum ... not too much garlic tho as have totally gone off since been pg.x

Has anyone used a hug-a-bub wrap??? How did you find it? I looks awkward to put bubs in and out but comfortable to wear.

Also, for those using cloth nappies, what are you planning to do with them? Do you have little squirts or just dry pailing or putting in water or what? Im still trying to decide. Ho hum.

Hey jazzysmum, gorgeous photos!! I only just realised that Jasmine is a month or so older than my DS. I havent even attempted paint yet with him!! I think he will eat it, but I should get him into it - looks like fun!! What is the best sort of paint to use? Also I noticed that you have locks on your kitchen draws, which ones do you use and are they good. I need to get some too as Logan doesnt like being behind the child gate these days, and it would make life easier - even though there isnt anything dangerous in them. I have looked at a few things but it is so hard to know which ones to get and my draws are in the same spot as yours are.

Sorry Annsam, havent used a hug-a-bub wrap.

CarrieB sounds like you had a very nice day. I think I might get my hair done this week, otherwise it will be forever before I get a chance.

OK better go and put my feet up!

!
Jazz loves painting and i just give her water colours or acrylics. She has tried to put a bit in her mouth but only a couple of times when we started. I also give her crayons and crayola washable markers. She will sit at the table for ages just playing with it all. In that photo she had actially mixed her pens with her paint and i didnt notice till the damage was done..oops!
As for the locks, i just got the ones from Woolies, they are dreambaby or something like that. They are really easy to latch and they cant get into them. i dont really lock them anymore though as i have all the sharp stuff at the very top drawer (which i lock) and let her fiddle with all the other utensils!! Its the only way to keep her amused while im in the kitchen.
Glad you thought the pics of Jazz were cute!! Im biased but i think she is perfect.
And im on the Northside of Brisbane, cant remember who asked me now...?
My leg is killing me tonight. Might have to go get the ultrasound done after all.

Annsam.. I am using nappy liners and dry paling.
I bought J&J nappy liners, they work out about 8c each, but they are quite big so i could cut them in half and still be large enough. I've ben told they last through about 5 washes too... the ones that haven't been pooed on.
You can get home brand ones cheaper too.

I thought DP would find that easier than washing off poop (me too).

I have a baby bjorn mesh air carrier... i think the hugabub would make me too hot.

Anna - I havent used the hug-a-bub... i have bought on e of the Bubba Moe ones tho. Also, im using disposables so not much help on that either lol!

Jaimie - I hope your leg feels better soon... Maybe that u/s is a good idea!

Just got back from DP's Folks house.. Was actually a really pleasant day/night. MIL is a really gifted quilter and is making a quilt for bub and Amity! Amity's one is in bright sunflower yellows and magenta pinks and Griffins will be all bright colours.. I will make sure i post pics once they are done!

Oh just wondering if anyone has though about whether they will demand breastfeed or do it by the set hours??
i'll be demand feeding this one.. only coz i did the same with my first two and it worked for us.. :fingerscrossed: this one is the same!
also both my girls love painting!! we use the crayola paints.. $20 for 4 colours.. red blue green & yellow and you get a paint brush.. warning first paintings usually end up brown if you offer all the colours lol. Danielah is over trying to eat it but does paint her skin every now and then.. haha.

ok, i have another idea, what about you approach a different instructor, maybe one that does the class before yours, or a student or something, and pay them to do the class with D, once again you would be right there watching, and if you got a newly qualified girl or something, they might need to do some hours of prac anyway? it might cost you $10 or $15, but might be worth looking at? It might just help out in the beginning whilst it really is hard for you to juggle everything....

thanx for that. great idea! the prob with that though is that she is pretty much the only instructor.. well on the day my girls go she is.. but you gave me another idea while reading.. im going to ask her for private lessons just for D or even for M & D for 2 weeks while the bleeding stops(tmi i know.. i'll have to word it differently when i talk to her lol!) and i ended up asking mum if she could come down for the hour.. ofcourse she said yes without hesitating but i still feel bad.. so i just have to switch the girls to a tuesday morning and all should be fine! so mums going to help for the first few months then hopefully D will be much more confident and the instructor will take her by herself.. she's really lovely so i know she'll help as much as she can but i just hate putting everyone out.

lana the quilts sound like they'll be gorgeous!! talented genes on both sides of the family.. your kids cant go wrong! :D

sorry anna im with the rest and have no idea about hugabub wraps..

jaimie i hope your leg feels better..

i have been getting heaps of braxton hicks..(i had a talk with bub and told her she cant come early coz mummy has lots to do first.. lol. lets hope she listens!!) especially tonight and i wasnt feeling too great either.. i think it was the heat and i didnt drink enough water.. i eat heaps of ice but i forget that i need the water too! went for a swim at mums earlier.. the advantages of living next door to parents and not giving back the key  we had to come back sooner than we thought as once again D got the rash.. not sure how coz she didnt touch the dogs but they were in the water too.. she even gets it sometimes if chris grabs the dog to stop it going near her then picks her up.. just the contact from his hand.. weird..

haha just reading a thread about what dp/dh's do that bugs their partners.. chris asked if i put his bad habits in but i said no the list is too long  reading some of them though i know he could be worse!!

wonder why MrsMiggins hasnt dropped in lately?? i see her around BH a bit.. apart from her and caithi is there anyone else we havent seen in a bit??

Hi,

Having a restless nite. I had a fantastic nite last nite so I guess I shouldn't complain.

I can't believe how much my belly has grown since we've entered 2007.

Paid some off car seat yesterday. DH dreampt that I had bub this week but we couldn't bring him home from hospital as we hadn't paid off the car seat. My brother dreampt we had a girl (doc assures us it's a boy). DH and i have dreampt it's a girl a few times too.

Hope everyone got more sleep than me. At least I can have a nap later.

xx

Hi girls

Thanks for the painting tips. I might get some this week, especially with all of this rain. We have the chalk board and after five minutes he likes to try to eat the chalk!!

I was just in this thread about doing the ring test, anyway I did it and it said boy and then girl and that was it :-( where is my third child???

I want three kids but DH wants only the 2 if we have a girl this time. hmm wonder what will happen. We have boh said we will keep trying for a girl until at least 4 kids!!! he he

DS up at 6am this morning...it kills me!!

All is going well with us, a friend of a friend who is due a week after me looks like she is having her bub this week. She has HELP Syndrom.... never heard of it before. It makes me want to get everything finished now. Apparently she hasnt even washed anything and the nursery has to be painted/carpeted this week. I say DH would be pretty busy now.

Have a great Sunday and dont forget to watch that program tonight on SBS. Its about conception through to birth!
