yellow wee?

my son, since being bottlefed has had yellow wees... :eek:
is this normal??
he is having plenty of water each day so i dont understand?? :confused:
should i take him to the doctors?

You've got me thinking now :confused: I think my DS has always had yellow wee...he was bottle fed from about 1 week old. But even now, if/when I look in the toilet after he goes, I think they are still yellow most days. DS drinks plenty of water and doesn't eat too much junk food...maybe their bodies just process things different to adults...

If it is any help - when you take a Multivit etc your wee goes super yellow, maybe it is just him getting all of those extra goodies.

Mickayla's wee is sometimes more yellow too.

As long as he gets enough water, as you already said, I think he will be fine!

Yellow wee is fine. Its just like when you take vitamin tablets your wee goes yellow if there is excess that your body doesn't need to absorb. Its the same thing as formula has the iron and magnesium and calcium and al the other goodies. Thats my understanding anyway.

i think in general this is pretty normal - DS has always had yellow pee and he is on formula also. as long as your bub doesn't have any additional factors presenting I don't think there would be anything to worry about.

tyler pee has always been yellow, she pees alot some times she can use 20 nappys a day, i took her to doc, cause i have never know a baby to pee so much, doc said its normal
