My Daughter Noah-Grace is a 29 weeker.i started bleeding the week befor at 28+1 weeks and broke my waters the next morning at 6am.i was then on bed rest, untill i contracted a infection in my ruptured membrains.I gave birth to Noah on the 14/1/2007 over a toilet of the labour ward, catching her myself. she weighed in at 1330gms, And was put on a vent and told that it she was doing well, but that she too had my infection. She is looking at staying in the NICU for a min of 8 weeks. This being our second prem baby we know we are in for a Roller Coaster Ride.I am luck that my grandmother and father are flyin over from the east to stay untill we are able to bring her home to help look after my two other kids 2yrs old and 10months.Noah will have her ups and downs thankfully they are allups for now, so we are expecting a few hick-ups soon. i will keep everyone posted.
:fingerscrossed: all goes well and you will have ure little girl home soon:smiliedance:

The last week has gone well with Noah behaving herself. She hasn't put a foot out of place so far and that makes it easya for all of us at home, though having to leave her there everynight is not easy and every three or four days i shed sum tears. But besides my feelings of failur i am holding up well. We have had two cuddles so far and her incubata is now at 22degrees she is also now on 7mls every 2 hrs by tube feed and expected to be at full feeds (18mls every 2hrs) by late thursday morning. one long week down 9more to go, but its one day at a time.
till next time keep us in ur prayers

My friend gave birth to her son at 29 weeks as well and he as just turned 4 and is a wonderful healthy, happy boy.
Your daughter is a great weight already which will help her greatly with her development although you sound like you know what you are up for.
Many of these for you in this tough time.:hugs:
:hugs: I can't even begin to imagine how hard it is leaving Noah each night. She sounds like she is doing well.
:hugs:
Congratulations on the birth of Noah! :hugs:
My DD1 shares the same birthday 14/01/1999 although shes a little older :D
I know it must be so hard to have a 29 weeker i had a 32 weeker but thats totally different to a 29 weeker, Just be strong and inbetween visits get plenty of rest (easier said than done).
GOODLUCK in your journey and Congratulations.

all is going well not much has changed, my two other kids are finding it hard only seeing me befor bed, but its just one of the things that they will have to get over. tryin' realy hard to establish breast feeding but not making any progress and it gets me down some days. But once we have breastfeeding done we have that exit sighn in our sight.
still smiles for now, and lots of prayin' on our part, sadly not home free yet, but soon very soon.

I hope noah is still doing well, congrats on the birth! What is her weight now?
DS was born at 31 weeks and was a touch smaller than your little one, he was 1260grams, at 6 weeks he'd got to 1890grams when he finally came home! He is 4 now and although very small for his age he is remarkably clever :D
