My dd is 20 months and snores like a trooper, she can even snore while sitting upright in her car seat. I was wandering if anyone else has this problem and what they have done to relieve the snoring, should I take her to the gp. I have been told that they can be up to 50% oxygen deprived if they snore, not sure how correct this info is though. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't worry too much ... but if you are unhappy, take her to your gp and have her checked.
Does she get a lot of sore ears and sore throats? It may be that her adenoids are enlarged and it may be beneficial for her to have them out.
It is day surgery done under general anaesthetic and they are in very little pain afterwards.
Ask around in your families to see if this is a common thing as I know that in my husbands family, most of them have had their adenoids out because they were enlarged.
snoring can be a sign of sleep apnea(?) so I would get her checked out by a GP
yes I too have heard that little kids can have sleep aponea from snoring.
If it is that loud it is likely that there is some level of breathing obstruction happening.
A blocked airway leads to poor sleep, and poor sleep can hinder development. I would definately go and have her checked. It could end up being something really simple and she will be much better off for it.
good luck!

Thanks for you replies, I think I will take her to my GP, although she was just there this week and she did check her throat and said all looked good.
