View Full Version : Where was everyone today???

Thomas&Mum and I drove up to Southbank from the Gold Coast, we were there early and waited until 11:30am for everyone else to come...nobody showed up.

Were we at the wrong location?

oh no, dont tell me the rest of you girls wussed out!!!!! im keen to hear whether or not you were at the wrong place, or whether they all got shy after all.....

We got there just before 10:30, stood in the middle of the beach area on the path. Ribbon tied to the pram. Stood around for a while, got too hot, and bubs restless so we sat on the sand to have something to eat.

We left at 11:30am, a little disappointed that nobody else showed up when we traveled alot further to come and meet everyone.

awww are you SERIOUS?? after that thread got soooo long??? so many people seemed interested!!??

I would have attended myself - cept EDD means I really dont want to go tooooo far from hostible!!!!!

I hope it was a simple mix up - and I hope that you guys enjoyed yourselves anyway

Oh, what a bummer. I hope you didn't feel like a dill standing there. Hopefully it was just a mix up and you weren't stood up!

OMG mum2ryan we were all there too!!! :eek: We were all over on the boardwalk to the right of the beach. I didn't know anything about meeting in front of the beach and I got there a little earlier too. I am sooooo sorry and you drove all that way too :o

I left at about 11.30, because K was getting tired, but it was nice to be able to put faces to names.

Next time we may need clearer instructions on where to meet.

I am so sorry that you two didn't find us.We were all there for a long time In fact I have only just arrived home. Hopefully next time we can all find each other

YOUR KIDDING! We were in the centre of the beach??? just on the footpath. We saw a few strollers go by but htere were no ribbons in sight :confused:

I had a good time anyway, but it would have been good to meet everyone

Oh so sorry for you guys missing us!!! It's funny coz I was asking where you were, I knew there was someone supposed to be coming from the goldcoast, but noone there today was from there, thought it was strange! We did have ribbons but I guess they didnt stand out enough. Pink t shirts is a good idea, or maybe a baloon tied to each pram next time, might make it more obvious who we are!!! I feel terrible you didnt find us, hope to meet you next time!
I caught the bus home from Redbank train station and it took 2 1/2 hrs to get to Camira what a joke, I didnt get home until 545pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am sooo tired and Xavier had a tanty as was really over tired, went to bed and now he's up a again little ratbag!!

hi ladies

Samara and I had a great day at Southbank, was so nice to meet some friendly people.
Sorry "Ryansmum" you missed us, i turned up at 11.00 and walked round the front of the beach in fact did a whole circuit before i found them, i just walked over to every "pram group" and finally found the red ribbons. I think the balloon idea is great Juile you cant miss a balloon!

Samara was also very tired, also packed a paddy in the car in the carpark but was all good when i got home. (i think she was missing the company of all those fine young men babies!)

would love to catch up again soon, let me know if you want to do another catch up southside ladies?? when where?
What about a christmas catch up????? any ideas on a mums group xmas party??one for the kids??
