"Something about the way you look tonight" by Elton John :)
This is no joke, our wedding song was
"detroit rock city" by Kiss,
My husbands fav song..
But, he is like that, our friends would never expect us to have a soppy song.

Our bridal waltz was "Amazed" by Lonestar.
And my father/ daughter dance was to " because you loved me" by Celine Dion.
We also danced to "Sweet Child of mine" by Guns n roses, cos that is our song but it was a bit too fast & heavy for the bridal waltz.
we are no where near married but our song is that living colour song, 'love rears it's ugly head' i say it is because i am the sensible one and dp always plays the fool!:D

We didn't have a first dance or any specific songs, but dh always wanted "Angels" by Robbie Williams if we did have one but decided against any music as we had a beach wedding and an informal reception with no bridal dance etc.
This was mine,
I am not into Italian songs at all, but this one is very beautiful and romantic it's by Eros, Ti Sposero Perche, which is I Am Marrying you Because.........
It is very beautiful!
When we walked into the reception we had the song Celebration played to give the wedding a real party feel!!
Our songs so far are:
Amazed - Lonestar
Thank you for loving me - Jon Bon Jovi...
Not sure which one will be the first dance and which one I will walk down the aisle to, or whether I will walk down the aisle to something different all together....
but our special song is Thank you for loving me.... so I want that one played in full I know that for sure!!
OK I walked down the aisle to song of joy,
Our bridal waltz was Angels Robbie williams , then Throw your arms around me -Hunters and Collectors, and then beautiful day - U2. We cut the cake to Kiss me -six pense non the richer, and left to Time of your life - Green day, and Champaign Supernova - Oasis
So there you have it
We also had a mishap and the tule fell down behind the table, our Dj was very very quick to put on Bob the builder can he fix it... That is what a lot of people remember bout our day lol

I always wanted that song out of Pretty Woman when he takes her to the opera. It's called Fallen but I can't think of who sings it. My Mum and step-dad had it as their first dance - they stole it. Now I have to find another one.

I walked down the aisle to a steel drum band playing music. We hired them for 2 hours, they arrived 30 minutes before the ceremony started so they were there while guests arrived and played throughout the ceremony and a bit after. It was beautiful, definitely one of the highlights.
Hubby and I had our first dance as husband and wife to "Your Song" by Elton John.
Both made for a wedding made in heaven.
Jessie
I walked down the aisle to BIL playing Eternal's 'more than words' solo on his acoustic. It was magical!
We never had a waltz but for the signing of the register BIL played a song he wrote specially for the occasion!

Our song fotr tha bridal waltz was 'Don't Wanna Miss a Thing' by Aerosmith.
The following 2 songs were 'Romeo & Juliet' by Dire Straits & 'Wonderful Tonight' by Eric Clapton.
I walked down the isle to the theme from titanic, we had seen the movie together 3 times on the big screen and bought the movie as soon as it was released (yes this was 8 years ago this year).
From this moment - shania twain (signing register)
Endless Love - Luther Vandross and Diana Ross (bridal waltz)
I believe in you and me - Whitney Houston (cutting cake)
Leaving on a jet plane - John Denver (End of reception when saying goodbye)
I can't believe I remember this many of them, but I also forget a lot of them too. Will have to go and watch my wedding video again. LOL
I walked down the aisle to the Queen of Sheba played by a childhhod friend on the organ. We had always joked when I got married I was goign to arrive on the back of an elephant ( I didnt htink I woudl ever get married so was thinkign big) Next best thing was the music for that. We signed the register and walked out to Call off the Search byt Katie Melua and also had those lyrics on our order of service. Our first Dance was to It must be Love by Madness.
A truly beautiful Song
"Call Off The Search"
I won't spend my life
Waiting for an angel to descend
Searching for a rainbow with an end
Now that I've found you I'll call off the search
And I won't spend my life
Gazing at the stars up in the sky
Wondering if love will pass me by
Now that I've found you I'll call off the search
Out on my own
I would never have known this world
That I see today
And I've got a feeling
It won't fade away
And I won't end my days
Wishing that love would come along
Because you are in my life where you belong
Now that I've found you I'll call off the search
INTERLUDE
Now that I've found you I'll call off the search [x2]

We had "Born to Be My Baby" by Bon Jovi off their revampt album of oldies called This Left Feels Right. Always loved that song, but the original version was too fast.
THEN, we had "I Was Made For Lovin You" by KISS, and this had EVERYONE up dancing. The DJ was very impressed and wondered why others hadn't used it B4 us LOL!!

I walked down the aisle to "All I want is You" by U2 but was performed by a string quartette.
Our waltz was to Jewel's "This Way"
Cutting of the Cake was Pete Murray's "Please"
I threatened my DJ very harshly that if any Shania Twain seaped into my Wedding one tiny little bit there would be consequences!
Sorry to anyone who had Shania - (I didn't read ALL of these replies) She's just not for me.

I was supposed to walk down the aisle to the guitar solo from the movie "The Princess Bride". It was a fave movie of mine and I had searched for months for it. But on the day the dj played the wrong song so I ended up walking down the aisle to the theme song from Braveheart which is pipes and fiddles and and by the time I noticed my bridesmaid was already halfway down the aisle. It was actually very moving and as I walked into the church there was a huge cresendo of music and it was so beautiful it took my breath away and I started crying because it was the same moment I saw my husbands face. So sometimes unplanned isn't always so bad. All together now...AAWWWWW!!! LOL. Our bridal waltz was Frank Sinatra "The Way You Look Tonight". It was perfect for the way we feel about each other and fitted nicely with the choreographed dance we learnt especially. We were originally going to have Van Morrison "These Are The Days" which is an absolutely beautiful song:
"These are the days of the endless summer, these are the days, the time is now. There is no past, there's only future. There's only here, there's only now".
I love it but it was too slow for our dance. Good luck with your choice. It will be perfect for you.

Tina Cousins - Wonderful Life Ballad version
"No need to run and hide, its a wonderful, wonderful life"
J did the music up for the ceremony as a surprise, and i almost started balling the second that song came on... The funny thing is, a friend that came to the wedding - that song has been a long running joke with J and him - So it was so funny, and so sweet at the same time. J had forgotten about the funny side till our friend said something, J replied "HAHAHA, 2 birds with the one stone!"
The ballad verison is one of the sweetest songs i have ever heard. It brings happy tears everytime i hear it. Actually i just put it on, and yep - tears...!
