Hi All,

My bub gets a rash with ANY product, bar Sorbolene cream. Any ideas on sunscreen use? Not sure what to use on her for fear of her delicate skin breaking out.

Thanks,

Hi Justcooked,

My DS1 also had sensitive, eczema prone skin. I have found that the Skin Cancer Council of Australia cream for Toddlers is quite good and when a did a course on treating eczema they recommend a Sunsense Sensitive suncream. I have found that the Banana Boat Baby Rollon is too thick and effects DS's skin.

Mostly I try to keep him out of the sun and wear long sleeves etc if possible, normally way too hot for that! His skin will always react if I put suncream on alot.

Hope that helps.

Mostly it is not recommended to put suncreen on babies under 12 months. Just try to keep your baby out of the sun as much as possible but if you do choose to use sunscreen just use the toddler formulas.

I second what easterlily just said.... big hats and shade are the sunscreen meant for little babies. Most responsible companies have this information on the packaging.

Hey justcooked,
Just a note, I have found that Hamilton Baby Milk is the best sunscreen for little people. It is very gentle and is excellant for sunblock - I have very pale skin and find the Hamilton sunscreens most effective.
Hope this helps
