Hi girls,
just wanted to ask you what swimming school you go to with your babies in Adelaide (north preferably). Would like to start swimming with my little girl when she is 6 months, but there are so many different schools to choose from, any recommendations? Are there any special pools for babies only or you go to normal pool that everyone uses? Don't care about price so much, just the quality of training&water, safety etc. And one more question, do they have to wear swimsuit on top of the little swimmers nappy?
Thaks a lot for any suggestions.

DS has been going to Starplex in Gawler. The classes are good and yes you need to put bubba in littleswimmers.

Hope this helps

Hi, I live in the Hills not the north but we take our bub to the State Swimming School and they are fab there, they really know how to get the bubs involved and help them enjoy being in water. The pool is heated so not cold for bub and you/partner take bub in water with you......you are there throughout.

Yes you need some kind of swim nappy, I use an all in one swimsuit with it's own nappy but I got mine in the UK but you can get a pull up nappy swimmers which you can just throw in the wash after or you can get the disposible swimmer nappies. Don't think you have to have a swimsuit over the top, I think that is just personal preferance.

Stateswim schools are really good, I went to the one at Golden Grove and everyone was really nice there.

I put DS in the little swimmers and then put his swim suit over the top, but that's a personal preference

Hope your little girl enjoys the water, I know DS does

We go to Stateswim at Golden Grove, everyone there is great and can't help you enough. My 4 year old loves it. My little one doesn't swim yet, I'm going to wait until she's is 2. Goodluck.

Thanks everybody for your replies. Will try the Golden Grove one, as it's very close to where I live as well. And sounds you were satisfied!
Have a nice day, hopefully a bit colder then yesterday! My little one just hates hot weather:crying:

Thanks guys, I will give Paragon a ring. CYH nurse that comes for house visits also suggested them. It's a bit far but I don't mind. Do they have a separate pool for babies or just one for everybody ?

also the elizabeth aquadome centre is good. $9.70 a week or $15.70 a fortnight. can pay by direct debit. 6 babies per class. anyone can come watch for free but if they decide to get into the water its $4.10.
