Oh, I had such a sad day today, I was packing away all of DS's baby clothes into big storage boxes (all 5 of them:o ) and I was soooooo upset because I think I would love to start trying for another one now.....BUT and this is a very big BUTT :D I need to loose a minimum of 20 kilos before I could possible think about carrying around another baby.

I want to be alot more active in my 2nd pregnancy than I was in my first ie more swimming, yoga etc...I only put on 8 kilos...however, the past 2 years I've probably put on another 10.

Plus I will be running around after a toddler 2nd time round too...so, I don't want to just be a big lump.

Anyone else out there in the same boat?

I'm just feeling sorry for myself today...when I really should just get off my bum and get this weight thing sorted out once and for all.

 That is sooo something i would do!!

I am also in the same boat, i have a few other reasons for holding off TTC, but the extra weight is a big issue. I have around 20kgs i could ideally lose and my back is already stuffed, so i don't wanna place it under any extra strain with another pregnancy right now. I need to kick myself in the bum, i've been saying i need to lose weight for ages and then not really done anything about it.

I am going to make a concious effort to start doing my yoga and pilates DVD and watch what i eat! Goodluck ladies!

I feel the same. I'm wondering how long I can cling to the "I just had a baby" thing, I think my time is up.

DH says to me, you're not fat, you just had a baby! I'm like, he's 14 months old, i don't think that's a good excuse any more! lol

Bubbaganoush - my feet hurt too, but i blame the epidural, i'm getting acupuncture to see if it helps.

I can understand your situation and can offer some encouragement. I am in the same situation and I must lose 20 kg if I am to try for another baby at all. My last pregnancy was a nightmare and I attribute it to the extra weight. If I don't lose the weight then I won't be able to have a baby because of my age.
It's a good idea to lose some weight for the sake of your future health. Even try to get fit if you can. You'll be glad you did.
You girls are spring chickens, it is I who am the old mamma. (I'm 41 and had my first dd at 34)
I believe you can all do it- Just dedicate yourselves and get all the help & support you can. :)

In August last year, I was adamant that I would lose at least 15 kgs before xmas.....

By the end of September, I was pregnant and well on my way to putting on 15kgs before xmas.

It is so depressing.

Hi there

Even though DH & I have decided to wait till we are in our own house then start tring (hopefully by the end of next year) I definately want to and need to lose about 15kg before I fall pg again. I was in the process of trying to lose weight when I fell pg with DS as my BMI indicated i was overweight. I put on 20kg while i pg with DS and lost 8kg within the first few weeks after having him (4kg of that was him...lol)

I want to be healthier, fitter before i fall pg again so i can stay as active as possible while pg.

I know what you mean. I'm so clucky and wanting number 2 already, but wanting to also shift 10kg that I thought would just fall off me when DD was born! Boy was I wrong. Adding Christmas to that, I've so over eaten in the silly season.
I'd love to be pregnant already, but am fearing that I will end up huge and will have loads to loose when number 2 pops out.
Could always cheat and do a Britteny Spears and get lypo...

I want to lose weight before having another baby too. I would like to loose at least 20 kg. Today mum and i bought these tablets that we used a few years back that worked wonders. They are some sort of Indonesian herbal concoction and they help with shaping the body too.
