Hi all,
my DD is hitting the scales at 15.4kgs, and with number two on the way i think it may be time to free up her seat in about 5 months (after bub is out of the turn a tot).
So was wondering if anyone has recommendations for 5 point harnesses in booster seats?
I am so so confused!
Thnaks!

i love my DD's Maxi Rider.....Britex/Safe nSound (I think!) It is the one with the arm rests and cup holder but apart from asthetics.....it will take littlies up to 26 kgs. Anchors in like a car seat and can be used from six months and up.
I paid $320 for mine.
We just got the safe n sound maxi rider. It's from 8-26kg. DD is only about 12.5kg so too small for a regular booster seat.
It has a five point safety harness like a normal carseat and seems alot sturdier and safer than some of the booster seats i've seen.
It is more expensive than regular boosters $360, but i reckon it's worth it.

Thanks Pip, i am Pming you!
Yep  We have the maxi-rider too - it's ace.
But if you're just looking for a booster SEAT - no back, and using the H-harness, I got mine from Spotlight when they had a 20% off day. It's a syrofoam one with a cover and what's more important is the sides arn't ultra wide which means it will fit between other car seats really well. We have ours in the middle seat between 2 seats and the other blow-molded types were too wide.
Good luck!
I vote Maxi-rider - they are excellent and will last you ages!

My just-turned-5 yo sits in the booster seat with H-harness - she has for about 6 months now.
Is that a bad thing?
What's SFA?
oh I thought you meant a toddler! sweet F all.
the main reason I got the maxirider was it will last to 26 kilos or roughly an 8 year old. and it uses the crotch strap to hook into the H harness to prevent them sliding through the seat belt down the bottom in an accident
Toddler?! Hell no!
However, all car seats are based on weight rather than overall size - my kids are petite so will be in car seats for ages - my friend has a boy who's been in nothing since 4.5 because he's HUGE!
hehe SFA! Nice!
I don't know how old maikysmum's child is - but my 3.5 yo is only 15kg so that's why I just gave my opinion based on what we use! Our 3.5 yo is in the maxi rider and will be for at least another year when we'll need to play musical car seats again - I'll still have to buy another booster I think.
Yep Maxi Rider II here as well
Would not put her in anything less.

Yikes, poor Lucas will have to start driving his own big rig with airbags to be safe then - he's 2.5 and 22kgs.
