I have almost completed my Doula Certification with, Childbirth International.
I live in Liverpool, Sydney.
I have 5 children; I have attended 2 births (before starting my Doula course).
The time is now right for me to start looking for my Trainee Doula clients.

In brief;
My goal as a Doula is to assist the woman to have a safe and satisfying child birthing experience, as defined by the woman.
I am able to provide physical, emotional, and informational support to the women and her partner during labour and childbirth.
I am able to offer help and advice on comfort measures such as breathing, relaxation techniques, movement, and positioning.
Most importantly I am able to provide continuous emotional reassurance and comfort to the labouring mother.
I believe empowerment is a key factor in achieving a positive birthing experience.
As a trainee Doula I would offer up to 4 pre-natal visits (depending on how far along your the pregnancy is, minimum of 2 visits in the 3rd trimester, time allowing), the birth, and 1 post-natal visit in hospital and 1 home post-natal visit.
Unlimited email and phone communication.
Costs: to cover my own directly incurred costs such as childcare, petrol & parking.
Empowerment is ultimately driven by the individual's belief in their capability to influence events.
