Baby breathing heavy

Hi all
I have noticed that my baby breaths heavy for a few breaths sometimes. It worries me because his chest looks really compressed while he is breathing. I was watching him sleep tonight and noticed he was breathing heavy. Is this normal for a new born? Lachlan is just over two weeks old. TIA:)

My little boy was like that when he was a newborn. He'd breathe really eractically and often very deeply when asleep and it used to terrify me. So I asked my MCHN and she said all babies breathe erractically and really deeply and that he was perfectly normal! So I hope that helps put your mind at rest. If you're concerned still perhaps ask your doctor or MCHN.
