Havn't heard but not surprised. Whenever I had bid on GK's on ebay they get removed.
Sux eh! :shame:

I've noticed that!! I think it may have something to do with their used items policy - nappies might fall in the 'underwear' category.

Hmmmm, interesting...... I've noticed the 2 GK's are no longer listed. BBH's seem to still be for sale though. I sold my GK's on Ebay with no problems. I must have been lucky.
WTF??? I have nappies on watch and have been buying nappies off there for a while now... I am confused????
That really sucks! So you can't buy or sell them anymore???
hmmm, just checked the nappies I have on watch and the bids are still there and so are the nappies:confused:
yes its true....just happened to me about 10 minutes ago!!
Ive had 3 removed so far. All items I had winning bids on as well. How rude!!

There's always been an issue on ebay with apparently one certain seller who makes a lot of complaints about other nappy sellers, so a lot of nappy listings do get cancelled - but I don't think it's an ebay policy (unless it's brand new ) it's more of a "loophole" - someone complains about a listing, and their complaint is technically true, so ebay has to remove it.
Oh, and I wonder if that certain seller is the certain seller that I am thinking of that seems to come up regularly about a certain postage overcharge.
Not saying nuffink, since we can't say nuffink about this certain seller. Just wondering that's all.

I think you might be right on the money there Shed as it would make a lot of sense, of course not saying whom though :devil6:

 I was about to say that
I've had stuff disappear too...tho the times where I have had the highest bid the seller has contacted me, then we worked out a price, then we arranged a time and they relisted with 'buy it now' just to make things easier with postage, etc.
I had one item cancelled and removed after the auction ended and I had won the nappy...I had already sent payment too...the seller explained it all to me tho and I still got that one :D

hmmm, very interesting. I just had one removed too. Auction was over, and i had lost anyway. It was an AIO and i can't remember anything wrong with the add, but apparently it voilated ebay's rules!

I am currently in an email war with someone you might be talking about ;)
It sucks that it's all fine that we can talk about someone having a sale or how good they are, but we can't warn people about how horrible and nasty someone else is
Hehhe... a newby clothie friend of mine (she is pregnant) just emailed me and said that her husband surprised her and bought her nappies... guess which ones he bought? She asked me if I had heard of them. I told her yes, but I didn't say what!
*shakes head in disgust*

Take care here. I gave a scathing review of said company on here once and said company left me Neg feedback (only neg one ever) saying I was badmouthing them on a public forum.
I am remvoing all references to the person/brand - we all know who we are talking about and no one wants to be threatened with legal action, etc, etc, etc....

16-01-2007, 07:57
well if i give negative feedback on the 4 items I bought then they will give me 4 back. But I think it will be worth it because people need to avoid this company. I don't care if i never use ebay again - they have upset me and made that angry
It's apparently happpening in the US as well. Reason is that nappies are used. This part of the eBay policy applies Used underwear - including but not limited to, boxer shorts, panties, briefs, athletic supporters and these breach their policy now for some reason as well. So no selling secondhand nappies on eBay any longer it appears.

i am unsure of who you are all talking about but all the nappies i bidded on got removed there was about 6:eek:  DP informed me late last night bugger lol
i think i'm going to stick to sites like ozebaby from now on:thumbsup:
Can't you get away with it by not putting 'used' in the item description box, but writing it in the main section, iykwim?? I am sure I have seen that done! Otherwise, we will all have to use buyena to buy used nappies!!
Hoopdeedoo... :hugs: to you... I would leave the neg feedback too.
I can't believe that the (un)said person would leave negative feedback because of feedback left on a public forum.

Well that's just ridiculous that ebay are making that distinction! I hope they realise that they are going to loose out on it.I'll definately be looking more on the other auction sites now! And if i'm there looking at nappies, i'll look at other stuff their too. Don't they realise how much mums make purchases for the whole family and that long term, by removing these items people will go elsewhere? And since the newer sites are popping up all the time - ebay are gonna be the loosers.

i won some that were taken off last night.
its stupid i'd already won them!
Hmmmm...
I guess it will be buyena.
I just listed new nappies today on ebay, it looks so quiet on there....

i just tried to register with buyena but it wont let me with a hotmail address.
what sort am i supposed to have?
i dont have another email address! but i want to join
buyena won't allow most of the free address.
You might be able to try gmail . .or use the email you have through your ISP . .that's what I had to do.
Ive listed some of mine on buyena as well as my mum's soakers. A lot cheaper then ebay and more trustworthy I think.

Tomorrow I'm going to check out Buyena.
I had three GK funtimes listed on ebay up until last night, as well as the week before and they were all removed
I'm over it now- I was just annoyed that they said my items contained graphic adult content.. wt??

I sent ebay an email this morning asking why an item i was bidding n was removed - if i get a reply from them i'll make sure i let them know that i'll be looking at the other auction sites for stuff if their reasoning seems silly!

Apparently the seller reads Bub Hub and has threatened legal action if they are mentioned at all. Just be careful about ordering nappy supplies and nappies. If they have no price for postage listed, email the seller before you purchase, and check out the feedback before you purchase, and you'll be fine. And if they send you an email saying $0 for postage, they will likely send you another one saying the postage is more.
The product the seller sells is fine, just poor communication and nasty response.

:detective: i think i know who it is now i enquired about some nappies a few days ago and got a response like that.so i didnt order any:laughing:

With regard to ebay removing nappy listings, here's the response that I got this morning:
You may not be aware of this, but due to hygiene concerns, eBay does not permit the sale of any used undergarments on the site. Used undergarments include, but is not limited to, boxer shorts, nappies, panties, briefs, lingerie, bras, swimwear, leotards and athletic supports. Because you indicated your nappies were used, they would not be permitted on eBay. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Your listings were removed under our Adult Material policy because used undergarments fall under both our Mature Audiences policy and Used Clothing policy. Please note that your listings were not removed because of anything sexual or explicit, but only because they were for items considered used undergarments. I apologise for any confusion this may have caused you.
Ok... but why is the Mature Audiences police and Used Clothing policy lumped together as the same thing??? Of course people are going to be offended if their item is removed and they get an email saying it is because of "graphic adult content".
I'm SO over ebay.

Maybe you could sell them on Oztion.
Ebay are so ridiculous! They've lost a lot of business now. HA! to them!!
I emailed them asking why second hand nappies had been removed inc the ones I had bids on. I basically got told that it was none of my business!! How rude can you get.
Unfortunately, due to privacy and security concerns, I am unable to
provide you with further information pertaining to the reasons on why
the listing was removed. Please know that as a bidder you were informed
that you are not obligated to proceed with any transactions in regards
to this listing. I do apologize for my inability to divulge specific
details and information and ask for your continued cooperation and
understanding.
On the seller. . the product is great . .the postage did have me very confused and it could cause more problems. I think it would be a lot easier for them to list it on their listings. Save them trouble as well as their customers.

Covers would be like pants or shorts I guess.
I sold some new Pea Pods so I am happy.

I guess ebay would have thousands of listings a day so it would be hard to keep track, but they should have a search and find funtion before you list or something. It might be better to sell them through a smaller aution site anyway. :detective:
yea theres sooo many used nappies on there:confused:
