... if I have to have a c/sect or if a natural birth could still be on the cards. I have my first appointment with my new obs tomorrow - and he is the guy who did my first ectopic operation and diagnosed the second ectopic. He knows my history and has 'been inside me' so to speak - so I'm much happier knowing I'm in his care.
I'm not holding my breath - but I think that under the new obs care there is more chance of me being able to have the natural waterbirth that I so wanted. BUT - If I have to have a c/sect then I will try and make it a positive experience...
Wish me luck ladies! :fingerscrossed:

you'll be fine! Let us know how you get on tomorrow. Just remember if you have to have a c-section its not all that bad, my aunty had to have one last week due to medical reason to, and at the end you will have your beautiful baby boy.
Good Luck!!!

Thank you so much. Well apparantly it wasn't my new obs who did my operation - nor diagnosed my second ectopic!!! I have no idea how I have confused this - but he is really nice and I will be seeing him for the remainder of the pregnancy.
He told me that a natural birth is not totally ruled out - but he is fairly positive I will need to have a c/sect. I have to have a scan at 30 weeks to see how the left weak side of my uterus is going and make sure it isn't thinning out excessively in comparison to the rest of my uterus. If it looks good, then I will probably have a scan every fortnight to ensure that a natural birth is safe. Otherwise it'll be a c/sect.
So there is still a glimmer of hope - but its 80% likely that a c/sect is still the way that my little bundle of blue will enter the world.
Thanks for your well-wishes ladies - I guess I'll be back at this in 9 weeks time!!!

Thanks Kate. I'm pretty sure it'll be a c/sect still - but if not then thats a bonus!
Either way I just want my bub to be safe

:hugs: PL, 80% certainty for a c-sect means there's still a 20% chance of having the birth you want! :smiliedance: That's wonderful news!
I have to applaud your positive attitude though regarding the possible need for a c-sect  good on you. So in the meantime, just remember lots of positive affirmations (I WILL have a waterbirth) and visualisations (a strong and even uterus enveloping your bubba, opening up on Birth-day).
