View Full Version : Elective caesarean with Dr Chris Price
Can anyone tell me about their elective c/section with Dr Chris Price. My SIL is booked in with him (she's due in May) but her first appointment isn't for a few weeks and she has some questions. She was wondering if he allows two family members to come in (her DH and her mum)? Also, does he allow the baby to stay in theatre with you until you go to recovery? Is he helpful with specific requests / following birth plans?
Thanks:)

I didn't see Dr Price but saw Dr Tuicolo at North West, I did see Chris Price when I was discharged he seemed nice. I had a c/s at North West and only one person was allowed in, but it's worthwhile asking what the hospitals policy is. I think it might be the hospitals decision not the obs. Once our dd my husband cut the cord and I got to hold her for a little bit. They do take a while to stitch you up after a c/s, during this time our bub was with my husband in our room. It gave them a good chance to bond although I think he was just freaking out being left alone with a newborn. So even if all of you can't be there for the birth you should at least be able to come to the room straight away? North West isn't too strict on visiting hours except from 1 -3pm which is nap time. If Dr Price also does another hospital sorry for ranting about North West.
