Hi All,
Can anyone tell me if they have experienced the same in their men? My hubby and father to be is usually the most wonderful, caring loving man around. However since I found out we were pregnant ( i am 27weeks) I barely see him. I can count on 2 fingers how many times we've been out together or spent any quality time with just us. I am in the honeymoon stages - when I have some energy and can get around but hes nowhere to be seen. He spends his weekends with mates and comes home at 2am drunk and stinky. I have no doubt he'll be there for our little in' but what about me..I kinda feel a bit lost. Is it just my hubby or do all fathers to be do this? Isnt this the time we should be happy and really loving each other? Anyone??:crying: :gloomy:

I think for a lot of first time fathers - they realise life isnt going to be the same again after the baby is born and they go a little hyper with the bloke time out and the boozing. Dont worry, by the time comes you really need him around he will have gotten it all out of his system and will pull it together!

I hope you're right! Every mum I've spoken to says the same. Its a bit like: "Men are from Mars. Women are from Venus"
But you never think its going to happen to you. I guess I expected more from my hubby.
Thanks:)

I would say something to him if it bothers you. Not all guys go "crazy" before they are finally tied down by a baby. My hubby didn't want to go anywhere without me and I would have to force him to go out with his friends when I was pregnant with #1.

If you want to spend some time with him, then let him know this. He also needs to remember that this may be time for him to get the partying out of his system, but there will also be limited "couple time" once bubs makes an appearance. It might be an idea for him to spend some time strengthening his relationship with you as well.
