Quick question. What cloth nappy do you find woorks best for night and how much filling do you use. I'm about to make the night switch and didn't want a soaked baby first go.
Though last night Huggies leaked soooooo bad hoping cloth ends up better
Thanks in advance
In our house it's a BabyBeeHinds bamboo with a bamboo fold up (also from BBH) in it and a wool soaker or wrap on the outside.
There's never been a prob with leaking or not lasting the night so far.

I have only had one night-time nappy on DD so far (still buliding my stash!) and it was almost the same! BBB with both snap inserts. DD is not a really heavy wetter, but we had no probs at all with the above combo.

I second that. We've never had a leak while using this combo and it can last my DD up to 14 hours.

i use either the BBB or Ericas house of hemp (no added booster on the ericas needed for us and dd is a big wetter)
we either use our huggle on her with a microfibre insert or our Baby beehinds bambo with pul cover or our greenkids dreamytimes stuffed with hemparoo!!! havent had a leak yet and my DD is down for around 12 hours!

 just checking K, is that a Ella'a House Hemp or a Erica's nappy?
VBSN bamboo is our fave with woollen soaker.
Also bbb as menioned, Huggle and VBSN with bamboo boosting & always woo cover.

BBB all the way! :) Dreamytimes are good also. :)
 SweetDreams. What do you stuff your dreamytimes with to make it last 12 hours? I have tried hemp+micorfibre, hemp+bamboo, bamboo+microfibre, bamboo+flannel and NOTHING works! DD is soaked through after 5 hours
And which order do you stuff? Hemp to the top? Microfire at top? or bottom? etc.
Thanks!
carly....I used to use a GK anytimes overnight, it used to have the GK insert & a microfibre one on top of that and it would last 14 hrs

Ditto! I usually fold the fold up twice but last night I only folded it once and dd2 was still pretty dry this morning.

Thanks everyone. I used Happy Heiny Pocket with 2 boosters last night, worked well. I'll try bbb tonight.
thanks for responses
Cheers Dani! I'm still not convinced about pockets for overnight use, but they must work for lots of ppl out there!
I think we'll stick with BBB  Why fix it if it ain't broke?

We own VBSNs, Sandmans & a GNST.
And I have to say the GNST is my fave, and the best wee catcher for o'nite. I don't even use a cover, as he has only once wee'd through it. And I don't even have it boosted to the max it can be (only boosted to medium absorbancy).
Well worth the $$ I spent :)
I still use my VBSNs & Sandys just as much though!!

Ariene feeds about 4 times a night.
We don't change her nappy once...
She is always in a Baby Beehind in bamboo, with both snap in inserts and an additional booster- either a BamBooster or a Bamboo fold-up [also from Baby Beehinds].
Give it a go- nothing to loose :D

I use the new inserts and depending on how much of a feed we have the microfibre ... it's my understanding that you put that in the pocket closest to her skin (on top as you slide it into the pocket) so that the moisture is drawn through it into the more absorbent material.
Mostly I find that the new insert with the one in the middle are fine for us!

Usually we put a BBB on D with the small and large snap in's and a Beehind's overnight booster or a fold up teamed with a wool soaker.
Sometimes we use a GK Dreamytime with a hemparoo and micro booster or a Fuzzi Bunz with just 2 mirco boosters does the trick.

BBB with a knitted soaker- the saviour of DD's cot sheets! Not one leak since we started using knitted wool covers for nights.
We use a BBH bamboo with both snap inserts....and she has never woken up soaked through since we started her on clothies.:smiliedance: Can last her 10 plus hours...when we are lucky enough for her to sleep through!

I have four night time nappies that I rotate and two woollen covers. One BBH Bamboo, one BBH Hemp and two New England Hemp. I also fold a hemp insert in half and I have never had a leak or blow-out overnight. I love BBH but I adore the New England Hemp-unfortunately she doesn't make nappies any more so I had to trawl Ebay for some time to get my 2nd one of these.

We use this set up too, with a fleece cover, but I've had 3 leaky nights! :shame: Mitch has a lotta wee! Last night I used a PUL instead of fleece, and that worked better. I might buy a tots bots next, because I've seen others say they're trim...
I said woo up there but I meant wool!
I definitely recommend wool.
Would like to try a GNST - have heard that they are almost impossible to out wee.
Alright, I'm having a brainfizz. What's a GNST? :o
good night sleep tight? lol just guessing
I have Green anytimes and Fuzzi Bunz. Had a problem with leakage for a couple of months but then she started solids (she was late with solids, 9 1/2 months) and her liquid intake decreased and we haven't had a problem since.
I'm a big fan of Fuzzi Bunz nappies (even though they don't get a mention here often). I always have to make sure DD has something on over the Green's cause she pulls the velcro tabs apart.
