Hi everyone,

I read in some TTC info that swimming can alter your CM and vaginal ph (making it hostile to sperm).

Does this mean that you should avoid swimming/aqua aerobics when you're close to ovulation?

Thanks,

Hi there

I would only imagine that spas (hot swirling water and all that bacteria) could do that ( im sure I have read this somewhere), but I have seen no references to swimming or aqua aerobics classes. If this were the case, then my DD was a miracle child because I spent practically all summer in the pool. Hope this helps

I've never heard of that - I spose its possible - but i don't think the water goes 'up there' when your swimming - the muscles and tissue seal it off. GL with ttc!

I'm a habitual lap swimmer, and it's made no difference to my ability to conceive. And I suffer from PCOS, too.
