Hi lovely ladies
Im realy interested in finding out whats invloved with becoming a doula. I personaly think far too many women have unnesicary intervention in labour these days and Id love to be able to help support them through labour so they can achieve their goals.
I was supposed to have a water birth when I had skyl- I was booked into the birth centre at the RBWH but unfortunatly I had some last minute complications and had to be transfered to the dark side as I like to call it(labour and delivery ward) I feel that if I had a doula I would have been able to avoid the situation that followed- threatened with a c-sec even though I didnt need one. Was given an epi even though i didnt need one:rolleyes: But thats the main stream for ya
Any info on how I can acheive my goal would be appreciated. I need to be able to do the course in my own time and at home. I live in a small country town west of dalby
