View Full Version : BBH Bamboo Drying time??
Hey All
I washed my new BBH three times, and hung them out this morning before 11am, have just taken them off the line at 4:45pm and they are still damp. It's an incredibly hot and sunny, humid day, i would have thought they'd be well and truly dry by now. Or do they just keep a lot of moisture in and that's how they are supposed to feel??

I have the same problem with my BBH Bamboo's. They take forever to dry. I usually put them on the line and then finish them off on low in the dryer - they should feel completley dry after a good stint in the dryer (just make sure you have the setting on low).
At least a day for us - that is on a very good day (sunny windy) Closer to 2days though.

Overnight on the heated towel rack for us. They do take aaaaaaages to dry
That's a bummer. I have just folded them all and put their inserts in, if i put them in the dryer, i'd have to take them apart again wouldn't i?
Also, we don't really have a low setting on our dryer, just an automatic dry thing... weird.

yeah it says hang the out first thing in the morning.
but most of the time they're still a bit damp so i put them in the dryer for a little bit.
Its hard when you only have a few. I have enough so I leave em for almost 2 days (winter may be different story)

As of late it takes around 4 hours but in mild temperature it's definitely over a day.
I guess you have to expect that from a very absorbent nappy. Worth the wait though
Thanks guys, didn't realise that they took that long to dry. But as you said, it's worth it to have that kind of absorbency.
BTW - He has christened his first BBH with a lovely big poo! lol

I only have one so far :gloomy: But yeah, it takes a while to dry! I hang it up first thing - say 7ish then leave it out until 7pm if it is a warm day. then it is dry. But on other days where it is not so hot, i put it on a clothes airer in the hotest room in the house with a fan blowing overnight.
I don't know how i'll survive in winter - which is why i bought an extra 3 hemp ones!
