Chloe is teething, or at least this is what we think. We took her to the Doctor today and apart from a horrid eye infection,
The Doctor thinks she may be teething.
Although she is only three months old.
She's also suffering from the following symtoms.
Throwing her head back, gagging.
Excessive drooling
Rosy cheeks
High fever
weezy chest
Gums are white an bumpy
Crying a lot -(she hardly ever crys! So this is a shock to Mum and Dad :()
Her poo's are quite abnormal, dark and white lumpy pieces.
biting down on her fists real hard.
cry-screaming actually.
barely sleeping for more then a few hours at night, waking up screaming. She is on Amoxycillin paedicatric drops due to her horrid eye infection. We're seeing the specialist tomorrow for her eye.
Is this teething? Or is this a virus...Should we be taking her to the hospital? :(

Ds was like that when he had crop, which was odd, coz he wasn't really coughing alot.. Maybe try the hospital, just to put ur mind at ease hun, good luck :fingerscrossed:
Ummm... Chloe got her first tooth at 15 weeks, but on the symptoms she cried heaps, wouldn't sleep, wouldn't have bottles, her poo went green and runny, she may have had rosy cheeks ? (way too long ago - have blocked it from memory :D ) would bite everything! and had a slight fever... How I hated teething!!!
I would be worried about the weezy chest - i've never heard of bubs having that from teething?
Hope she's all good soon (and that's it is just bl**dy teeth)
ETA - Is she drooling at all?

Orca, you just made me remember to put down her other symptom. haha, I knew i'd forgotten one. Yes she's drooling lots.
Today the fever is gone :) Great to finally see a smile on my little ladybugs face.
Hey there,
Is her chest wheezing more after a feed? Or just at anytime.
My DS had quite a few of those symptoms - although nothing puts him off his food I must admit! The poos can vary quite a lot - sometimes they do get a bit arder and bubs is a bit constipated due to the excessive drooling, (or so I have been told). This could also be why she is gagging as she is throwing her head back - there is all this extra droll going down the wrong way!
My aunt is a CHN and she has said that sometimes when bubs are teething it can actually give them the feeling of a sore ear, (which is why a lot of bubs pull at their ears when teething), and this feels worse when they are lying down which is why it can be a bit harder to get them to sleep, and stay asleep.
Are you comfortable with trying some panadol or something? I used to not like this idea until I reminded myself how painful it was when I had my first and only to date, (and I hope it stays that way), toothache and I really needed to take panadol for the pain. We use this for our DS if he seems particularly upset when teething - particulary if he is biting down hard a lot on his fingers and it seems to make it much better for him.
However if you are still worried about the wheezing, I would get another opinion - just to put your mind at ease.

Yep, thanks Alicia, we've been giving her panadol since the beggining of her fever a few days ago. She's still on her antibiotic and that seems to be helping her. No fever yet today :)
Took her to the specialist today and he popped the membrane in her eye, he said it was the size of a grape! Poor things eye has been draining all day but it's less swollen and she's finally sleeping.
She's been chewing on her fingers/fists all day.
:yelclap: that's she is getting better. We had heaps of trouble with Chloe's eye when she was little too (must be the name  won't tell you what else your in for with your little "princess")
By the sounds welcome to teething (and never putting your finger in her mouth again! :D )

She's definitely teething the poor thing, I wonder which tooth will pop out first...

Yes. And Wait to check if teeth 3 and 4 are coming. YEOUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cobey had gross green runny poo
Crying for no reason
Biting on all things
Didn't want boobie (apply teething gel and he'd latch straight on tho')
Waking in night again.
I think he may be onto 3 and 4 now... :/
