well welcome to bubhub and adelaide.
try henly beach bit pricey but nice from what i have heard look on the real estate sites and that should help
I am from Adelaide although have been in Perth for the last 12 months.
We always lived in the Mitcham, Colonel Light Gardens, Westbourne Park area. Which I truely loved. They are beautiful suburbs and have fantastic kindys, schools, activities for children etc. About 20mins from airport with traffic.
Slightly closer to airport and also nice suburbs are Clarence Park, Clarence Gardens, Blackforest, Glandore, Plympton Park etc. These areas are slightly cheaper than above.
The beachside suburbs like Henley Beach, Grange, Glenelg, Mile End are getting more expensive. I don't know much about those suburbs though, excpet for having a few friends who are really happy living there.
Try www.realestate.com.au
Good luck with your move, I loved living in Adelaide, can't wait to get back there :D
Pm me if you want any more information.

Hi Monkey
Did you mean you need to be at least 20 mins away from the airport or 20 mins within the airport?
Hello!
Hmmmm.......good point, Missus S. I would probably look on the above link to real estate .com and find somewhere you like and let us know the suburb. That way we can tell you if its where you're looking or not. Just a suggestion.
thanks for all those replys. I really appreciate it.I am a little nervous about moving there with no support. My hubby is a pilot so he may be away sometimes..not too much but its good to have a bit of a net work etc...
Monkey, we quite often have meet ups here in adelaide, you would be welcome to come along to one feel free to chat to us in the adelaide mummies thread!
The airport doesnt take too long to get to from many areas.. you could also try seaton, brompton, ridleyton, north adelaide, fitzroy, hilton, marleston
Hope that helps... feel free to pm me anytime.
Hi Monkey.
I grew up in adelaide and moved to qld when i was 19. I love adelaide and we are hoping to move back sometime in the near future.
Like sarah81 i always lived in the unley, mitcham, torrens park area. It is quite pricey there but they are lovely suberbs and the schols etc are great. and it really is not too far from the airport.
Good luck with the move... you will love it there.
