Doing the DEED after baby

I hope I've posted this in the right section.

I had my DD almost 14 weeks ago and DH and I have only done the business twice. Once at around 8 weeks the other at around 11.

It hurt a lot both times and DH (god love him) was very patient and took things very gently and slowly... and yes we used heaps of KY.

I had 2nd degree tearing and am pretty sure I would of torn a little inside as well which can't help the situation but I thought everything would of been pretty much healed up by now.

My ? is how long did you wait until you had sex again after giving birth vaginally and did it hurt? How long was it until the pain went away?

umm i think i waited until 5 weeks, And wasnt painful but wasnt comfortable!

Maybe u didnt heal properly?

i think if you have this fear ans are scared its gonna hurt it does hurt...um not sure maybe try different positions try and not think about how much it could hurt.....Good luck with it

Also wanted to add bit off the subject but I did have pain going to the loo for about 5 months! Dont know if that had do with the stitches or what

I had 3rd degree tearing, and i had server internal tearing...we've tried to do the horizontal hokey pokey once since dd was born, and it didnt happen lol. So, dh has been sexless since i was 5 months pregnant....shes nearly 20 months old now ;).

Im interested to see what other people say. I guess things could also depend on you're sex drive and how much you want it. Me, i'd be happy if i never had sex again, i have no sex drive at all, so i guess im not inclined to keep at it to see if things get better after a few weeks of pain, or however long it would take. My bits are pretty messed up, maybe it'll never been the same? Who knows:eek:

Its great that you're dh is understanding though. Sorry i cant offer too much advise, other then i guess if you keep at it, and after a few weeks you're still experiencing pain, just go to your gp for a check up to make sure things are ok :)

3 wks after a c section and no pain maybe a bit uncomfortable, i think about 5 wks after my first VB with and episotomy and i think i was a little sore. Been three 1/2 wks since my VBAC and we havent yet but only cause we havent had time. i dont think it will hurt though as i have no discomfort and only grazed. id see a dr if i were you.

After the birth of my last bub we did the deed after 8 days:eek: I felt ok and i had a normal drug free delivery with no stiches, i was a little sore afterwards but nothing too painfull.

We waited about 4 or 5 weeks, can't remember exactly.:rolleyes: Didn't hurt at all, felt the same as before. Oh and BTW I had quite a few stitches. Perhaps it might be a good idea to be checked out by your doctor.
