Hi there

We are flying in to hobart in mid march to vist the MIL who lives at New Norfolk. Have decided not to stay at her house this time as there is simply not enough room and my dd will go crazy cooped up all day at her place.. Its sooo boring..

We are looking for some nice accomodation in the way of holiday units or something that has two bedrooms for a bit of space as we will be there a week.

Is there anything to do with an almost 2yr old?
I have done a little searching and it seems that tassie doesn't really have a wildlife park or zoo we can visit??

Can anyone suggest some activites we can do or see with a 2yr old. I am hoping to find some good parks so she can play but was hoping we could do something else fun with her.........

Any suggestions on attractions, and accomodation will be great. We are not on a tight budget....

Thanks

There's a wildlife park called Bonorong I think, it's in Richmond. There's cosy cabins in Mornington ( eastern shore), I'm sure they'd have a website. I'm not sure what other things there are to do for a almost 2 year old, but the teddy bear shop in Collins street might be fun, and at Salamanca there's a fairy shop.
Hope that helps! And have a good trip:)

Hi there is also a zoo like thing its called zoodoo and it is quite close to bonnorong wildlife park. There are also a few mazes at richmond and a lolly icecream shop.

Not sure about holiday units though but i know thats theres nothing like that here in new norfolk.

as the others have said Bonorong park is at Brighton, and ZooDoo at Richmond, There is the train park in West Hobart, a good playground at Cornelian Bay, The botanical gardens are great place to let the little one run wild, The aquatic centre has a good kids bit.

just a bit to ponder

Hi all
we will be visiting hobart from 19 feb - 6 april with our 14mth little girl, Linka as my husband is taking part in one of the exhibition for the Ten Days on the Island festival. We are travelling from Ireland and are very much looking forward to exploring Hobart and the rest of Tasmania. I was interested to read of all the things to do with a small girl and wondered if there are any mummy and toddler get togethers as we will have the days to occupy ourselves while hubby gets busy with the artmaking!!

Looking forward to chatting some more with you all!
