View Full Version : Not as much movements - Should I be worried???
Hello - I am 23 weeks pregnant and from 16 weeks I have been feeling movements. They have been very strong for the last 3 or 4 weeks and happening up to 10 to 15 times a day.
The last couple of days the movements are not as strong and are not happening as often. I know I may sound paraniod but as this is my first pregnancy I am wanting to know if this is normal?????
Hi,
I was the same my first pregnancy. My obsetrician said that you don't really need to count movements until 28 weeks and that if you felt 12 movements after you got up in the morning not to bother too much about counting for the rest of the day. But I am a worrywort and counted a lot more than that. I usually went on my baby's usual pattern.
But I think at about 23 weeks how much movement you feel could vary quite a bit. Anyway you could try having a cold glass of water or orange juice and a rest and see if you notice more movement.
If you are worrried perhaps ring your Dr and get them to check, I used to if I was worried and you feel so much better afterwards.
Hope that helps.

It's quite normal for the movements to slow down somewhat by this time....
It's getting a bit cramped for bub now plus he/she is probably getting into a sleeping routine aswell. I wouldn't worry too much unless your not feeling any movements at all!! :)
