Hi there everyone.

I have a rather chubby 6 month old with loads of rolls of "muscle" (fat). With the heat coming in he is starting to develop a prickly heat rash around his creases. His neck is probably the worst. Our home is air conditioned but of course we do venture out to go to the shops and play outdoors.

Is there something I can put on him to help with the rash? I thought about amolin as it is a barrier cream and works well on nappy rash but I thought it make make him feel hotter and sweatier. Is it a good idea to keep wiping him with a damp washer?? My first son was at his chubbiest through winter and it wasn't an issue. Though Zakky is losing a bit of chub he is still going to stay chubby for a while yet as he has been in the 100th percentile since birth.

Any suggestions????

My DD was a hot and chubby baby and suffered bad from heat rashes. I found the Curash powder worked well. It does look a bit funny having white powder around thier neck, arms and legs but its worth it.

White would be better than tiny red polkadots!!!

I'll get some & give it a go. We are going to Mackay on Friday for a week so I imagine his rash is only going to bet worse being further north and more tropical than ere on the Fraser Coast.

Thanks Rell

Zinc Cream is great for drying out rashes. It is often recommended for eczema sufferers. It is cheap too and you just get it at your supermarket in the personal care aisle. Plain white Zinc cream! :D
