Dog killer stalking city's suburbs

A serial dog killer is on the loose in Adelaide's southern suburbs.
Residents say 12 much-loved pets have died in the past month, all apparently poisoned.
Sally Phillips' labrador died on Boxing Day. Initially she thought it had been the victim of a terrible joke.
But after talking to her local vet, she discovered a string of similar attacks.
"The attacks are quite malicious and deliberate - people are jumping fences to get to animals and they seem to know exactly where they are, it's very sick," she said.
Around a dozen dogs from Hyde Park and Millswood have been targeted in recent weeks.
Residents are being warned to be on the look-out for rice cakes and whitebait soaked in pest killer and dumped in gardens in the area.
And pet owners are urged to keep a close eye on their animals.
Vet Kyle Clifford said: "It's certainly very concerning to us, obviously it's a terrible thing to do to someone's animal.
Police and the RSPCA are investigating the poisonings.
The RSPCA says anyone found guilty of such a crime could face a $10,000 fine or 12 months in prison.
