hi there
im a stay @ home mum to a 17mth old & 3.5yr old.. on the central coast (originally from sydney)
& i feel so alone.. no-one to talk to about ME! u see I'm just getting ME back! finished b-feeding 5mths ago so slowly getting MY body back! slowly having the kids become less dependent on me & more on the rest of the family...
been to baby group.. that just blew up in our faces.. people turning out to b *****es etc
now i have no-one up here..
sorry i do.. my parents... they are just not good grandparents!!
husband works alot or just doesn't appreciate me!
i feel so depressed.. my husband & i don't have passion in our relationship.. i just don't know what interests I CAN have.. or WANT to have that won't disturb my MUM/Housewife role!! any ideas????
i just feel so sad & upset.. i wish i had someone to talk to or have a cuppa with!

ooops, you live on the central coast too! Well maybe we can meet at the next 'meet-up' There are quite a few coasties on the hub, i hope i can meet them all one day too.

:hugs: to you. I know how lonely it can be when you move to a new place. When I first moved to QLD (from Sydney) I had the same problems, then I joined Bub Hub and through here I have meet some GREAT friends. Have you looked in the NSW section I know ther are mums on here who live on the Central Coast I am sure they meet up from time to time.

Hi,
I'm having the same problem. I lived in Sydney for around 7 years and returned back to Newcastle in the last month of my pregnancy to be close to family and friends. Now I'm back home i hardly hear from anyone. I thought it would be different esp. seeing as all my girlfriends had started families and I was the only one who hadn't. Now I have started my family everyone has good intentions and rarely sees them through. Oh well.
Your not alone. Follow Niki's advice and try and get out there and meet new people. What have you got to lose?

I don't really have any close friends anymore... they're all into the single party stage. Although I'm lucky to have my sisters.
I live in melbourne so unfortunetely I wouldn't be able to meet up but the internet works wonders :)

You've come to the right place. Thanks to bubhuh I now have a life. .and a social life :eek: . . these days Im off to meeting hubbers all the time. Im from sydney. But I think a hubber meet on the coast would be cool. Id have to train it unless someone offers me a lift (petrol money paid of course! ) but it would be fun and Matilda hasnt been up there yet!!

SugarPlum - Its nearly a year since I moved to central coast, and I am only just started to get to know more people. Have you thought about a playgroup, there are some lovely ones. PM anytime you want to chat.
We have had a couple of meets, and there is kind of one in planning stages I think....but we could orgnaise a big one for everyone including all those lovely Newie girls and of course the wonderful Sydney girls to come too.....who's interested!!!
