Hi girls, i know a few of you have had experience with spotting / bleeding in preg, just wanted some advice.
On xmas eve and day (was 8 weeks) i had a tiny bit of blood each time i went to the toilet, nothing on underwear just when wiping (sorry TMI), but due to the fact that it stopped and i was on holidays in Qld i did not get it checked out and have just been hoping that all is good.(also thought it may have been due to the fact that my period would have been due then)
Have been stil having the quessiness and sore (.)(.)'s and exhaustion so think all is well, but tonight when checking the paper (as i have become fanatical about) again there was a tiny amount of blood!
Sorry if TMI, but it is mainly clear cm with the tiniest bit of red through it.
Has anyone else had this happen through any of their preg's?
My GP is one of those that doesn't like to have anything to do with preg just refers you to the hosp if you start bleeding heavily, and does not like to do scans and blood work for no reason as he says that it is only a tiny bit of blood and is certain that it is probably ok (am not happy with GP, but my DP has been going to him since he was born and is convinced that he is the bees knees, am looking around for a new one at the moment).
I do not see the hosp for 4 weeks, but I have got my 12 week scan in just under 2 weeks, and would just like to know if others have had a similar experience and how it turned out for them. THANKS:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

Hi Bec,

That sounds like me last Thus & Fri. I briefly discussed it with a m/w on Monday and I can't really remember what was said (information overload on heaps of other stuff), but I think all in all it was normal and I left feeling ok about it. Plus, the Ob picked up a heart beat so that just made my day. :smiliedance:

But, like you, I would describe myself as "fanatical" and still have to check all the time. :o

Good luck - hope all is ok! :fingerscrossed:

Hi Bec,
I understand completely what you are going through, i've had some bleeding at 6 weeks , a few days later (xmas eve too) and then 7 weeks 5 days. MW says all ok, but i have to rest and not do much, just as well i'm on hols. Had to have another BT today just to make sure hcg levels still ok.

I agree on your Dr situation - i would definitely be shopping around! You need someone who makes you feel better and reassured, not worse.

:fingerscrossed: for a good next few weeks for you.

Hi Bec

I had spotting at 5 weeks - thought it was 'the end' as I have miscarried in the past. I never had any spotting on my girlsx3. At exactly 6 wks m/s started, the other day I had an u/s & saw my little one moving around 9 wks & 2 days...

Obviously the site of blood is scary & daunting, but does not mean 'the end'.

My dh cousin had a large bleed in the early stages, but all was ok. My granny bled 'off & on' in a few of her pgs...she had 7.

If you want an u/s you could say having had a m/c in the past we would like to confirm that this PG is viable, and the hospital would like us to confirm our dates...
My dh has always gone to the same dr too - I didn't really think much of him especially as he did not pick up FIL's cancer - I visit the same clining but chose the dr I feel more comfortable with. I have a preference 'hirachy' on who I see!

Good Luck x

I have had brown spotting at 6 weeks and 7 weeks and went to my Dr the second time. She sent me for a scan immediately and I got to see the little tiny bub with a heartbeat - made me feel so much better.
But I am very glad I went cos it turned out I have RH- blood and so I needed to get an anti-d shot. Around 15% of people are RH- so if you have any spotting and a negative blood type you need to see a Dr straight away.

Apart from that it seems spotting is really common - I would probably see a different Dr for your own peace of mind.

:hugs:

Haven't had any spotting myself (thank god) but my friend bled on and off until 20 weeks, she has since had a healthly little boy...

My advice... trust your instincts... Its probably nothing to worry about but if you are I would insist on an u/s and I would be finding a doctor with some understanging (JMO)

All the best for the next few weeks

thanks everyone for your reply's.
Makes a lot of sense and helps to know that there are others that have been in the same situation and all turned out well.
Still looking for a new G.P.
