Hi Ladies,

Am just looking for a recommendation for a good accupuncturist in the Sydney CBD.

I'd like to do a few sessions this cycle because I've heard it can be beneficial.

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Hi Belsbubs,

I can recommend David Lau.He is not only an acupuncturist but a chinese fertility specialist.

He is so knowlegeable in regard to the whole IVF process. He is based right near central station. His mobile number is 0414 922 988.

I really believe he has helped me get pregnant at the age of 40, and even though those pregnancies have failed, they have been due to chromosome abnormalities. I believe the acupuncture has helped my body to be more receptive to the embryos, and helped them implant. And it is always so relaxing, I always end up falling asleep there on the table!

Good luck hun with your upcoming cycle, and I hope if you do pursue the acupuncture, that you will find it beneficial.

Hi Belsbubs,

I'm based in Brissie so can't recommend anyone in Sydney, but wanted to let you know that I did Artificial Insem 4 times and IVF once and fell pregnant, I believe with the assistance of a naturopath and a great accupuncture specialist (chinese herbs, vitamin supplements and accupuncture). I started 'natural fertility' treatment early on to help prime my body for the experience of fertility treatment. It's pretty hard on the emotions and the body so anything you can do to help with the stress and keeping your body as healthy as possible is really worth it. Some fertility doctors 'flick' the idea of natural approaches, but a balance worked for me.

Best of luck - and be kind to yourself :fingerscrossed:

I went to see Jann at Rozelle acupuncture. We were having problems conceiving and it worked for us.

My SIL went through IVF 4 times and she went there as well. for the last one. Although she didn't get pregnant she got the best results when she did the IVF.

GOOD LUCK:fingerscrossed:

I can recommend Daniel Walman in Darlinghurst.

My DH and I had been trying for 18 months and we were two weeks away from having IVF. Both my DH and I thought we would try accupunture before we went to IVF and we had 3 treatments each. My very next ovulation I fell pregnant.

Unfortunately it ended up in miscarriage at 6 weeks Dec 06 but at least we know we can fall pregnant natuarally.

We are still trying and having accupunture a treatment each at ovulation time.

Good luck to you.
