Going to NZ

Just wondering if anyone has been to NZ and knows where to hire nursery equipment? I am from NZ but Zara will be about one when we go so I just need to know if I can hire a porta cot, carseat etc.

we went to nz last year and we didn't hire anything as my DH's relatives had everything but I can find out for you if you like. which part of nz are you going to.

Plunket hire out car seats - not sure about portacots but would be worth contacting them to find out.

We are going to Auckland, as I said I am originally from there and we are staying with family but no-one has babies yet so they don't have any stuff.

My mum hired seats through Plunket in Auckland (they are the CHN equivalent) and their prices were very reasonable.

Most Baby Factory stores and even general hire places will hire baby equipment.

My mum hired a capsule from the Baby Factory. She picked me up from the airport and I saw it and it was dodgy dodgy dodgy. I had to put my baby in there so we could drive home, but my friend borrowed one off her friend which was a bit better and we took the Baby Factory one back.

She also got a portacot off someone, but me and bubby ended up sleeping on a mattress on the floor.

We didn't take a "pushchair" (lol), I just used the sling.

we hired a portacot and jogger from plunket afew yrs back.... we had to prebook tho to make sure they had them as they are popular to hire
