Eloping

Hey Girls,DP and i are thinking about eloping. 1. Cause we want it to be cheap.2. cause i dont want my parents there3. cause we just dont want the hassle of organising the wedding.So my question is: Have you eloped? If so how much did it cost you? and how was it?any feedback would be awsome.Ell

DH and I eloped i think it cost $150 to have the ceremony, We didn't have anything else no rings no dress no cake no music and no photos, we basically went there 15 mins later we were married and walking out...
I don't regret it but if i could do it again i would at least have a ring:crying:

but at least now i get to "get married" all over again :smiliedance:

I would love to elope, but when I say elope I don't mean got to some cr@ppy chapel in my tracksuit with complete strangers and witnesses, I would like to get married somewhere like a reg office with a few of our close family and friends, I don't want a bridal party or anything like that (I DO want Hayley to be a flower girl and this baby to be either a flower girl or page boy depending) and just go out for lunch somewhere, something very simple and cheap but not tacky if you get what I mean.
I think if you and your partner want to elope then do it, you're getting married because you love each other not because you're trying to impress anyone, AND it saves you a bit of money in the end.

Also I was thinking that MAYBE in 10 or so years (after we get married) Grant and I can re-new our wedding vows and have a bigger wedding/party type thing (though its just thoughts at the moment) coz imo its one thing to get married but another to STAY married.
