Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if their bubs would suddenly start screaming when going down for a nap or sleep at night when teething to the point that they get nearly hysterical?
Also, did anyone find that their bubs started getting a really red bottom with little bumps appearing?
I now that Jakob got a rash on his bum when he was teething & i had a few restless nights i just gave him some panadol to ease the pain & bonjela... hope I've helped..

Thanks Kimmy,
We have tried the panadol, bonjela, nurofen, Brauers teething relief and nothing appears to be working! I took her to the dr and nothing is wrong (no ear infection etc).
We are all currently sitting on the couch watching Hi-5 on Foxtel because everytime we put her down she goes nuts and screams........... :(
Maybe she is having bad dreams i now it sound crazy but my DS use to when he was little still does ever now & then but i heard that because every thing is so big to them some times they get scared but then that doesn't explain the rash hay. are you sure its not thrush just a guess.

No, we don't think it is thrush.
It has only appeared today and yesterday I changed from huggies nappies to babylove - surely it can't be that?!
I wouldn't be sure when Chloe was about 2 months old she got a really bad rash from huggies wipes so we had to change to Johnson's but i haven't had a problem with the nappies so i don't really now sorry.
I'm sorry & i now this is off the topic but where abouts in brissy are you from? I'm in darra ...
Hi all,

YES ABSOLUTELY!!
Andrew had one very bad week for sleeping while his first tooth was making its way up. We were up every 2 hours most nights. Theres not much you can do - we did the bonjela and panadol but didn't help much except take the edge off. Brauers was heaps better for calming him down. But in the end, it was just frequent comfort breastfeeds that REALLY settled him down to sleep.
Paying for it now though, it has been 2 weeks and I'm still trying to get him back to sleeping through properly. As you can tell from the hour of the post, its 5am and we're awake! But he did sleep through until 4.45, so thats progress!!
We didn't have any bum trouble though, thank heavens! But he's always had a good bum LOL
Hope your bubs toothie arrives soon for you!!

Better go and have my first of many coffees today! ;)

My DS used to get a flared up bum and not sleep while he was teething. I took him to the doctor too and found nothing wrong. He didn't actually get any teeth until 10 months. But was teething on and off for a long time berfore that
He still only has two at the top and three down the bottom. I can see white bits at the top and bottom but they are taking a long time to come through. He is normally an easy going happy bub, but has been crying randomly that last couple of days, me thinks this is why  Hope your little one feels better soon :)
Hi everyone
Shayley is just over 8 months now and has been teething for 4 with no tooth cutting thru yet. have had the same problems with the screaming etc. the past week she has been really clingy and someone mentioned to me that they can go thru a clingy stage between 7-10 months. just wondering if part of the problem might be that your bub is maybe going thru that the same as mine?
