Hosting a Baby Shower

Do you host your own baby shower or is someone supposed to host it for you? I wasnt sure about this? What is "common" practice??

My sister offered to host mine (apaprently its considered tacky to host your own bc it is a gift giving event)

But...I have ended up doing EVERYTHING for it.

Its this Sunday and I have organised the invites ( i put her name down for the RSVP, well she insisted actually so it looks like she is a 'good' sister lol), the food, the games, the thank you gifts, the prizes for the games - absolutely EVERYTHING! GRR!!! :banghead:

I dont think it matters if you do it yourself, although it is a lot harder doing the running around when your 7-8 mths pregnant!

Thats why I think a lot of people have someone else hosting it for them.
