OK my cousin is having her engagement party in a few weeks and I'm not sure what to get them. They've been living together for a while so they have all housy stuff. They've just moved into a brand new home and my aunt has been telling everyone to get things like bunnings vouchers....My parents are giving them a whole heap of gardening gear like gloves, fertilisers, herb seeds, tools etc (dad works for a company that supplies nurseries, bunnings etc).
But I'm thinking...surely they don't just want bunnings vouchers...any suggestions?

You can never go wrong with some really nice silver photo frames. :)

You could buy them something keepsakey like a nice photoframe to put an engagement piccy in. Or maybe a fancy dinnerset. I had plenty of the basics when I got engaged so it was nice to get some fancy items to use when we have guests. Something like a bridal diary would be handy.

When all else fails - make a money tree. Get a little bushy plant and use paperclips or little craft pegs and pin money on it. Then you get some chocolate coins and place them around the base of the plant. That way the can use the plant in their garden and remember you when they look at it.

And everyone knows you need a money tree when a wedding is coming up!!

That is awesome, I would never thought of that....only thing is I'm North of Brissie..them Sydney. We're way out of the fire ant zone, but have to find a plant that i can buy here that will grow there.....but good idea....

The first money tree I ever made, i actually used a twig bluetacked to the bottom of a pot and then I used the chocolate coins to hold it in place. It looked great but afterward the money was plucked and the "tree" tossed. That's why I moved on to real "trees". You could always get a little bush when you get to Sydney - Bunnings are great for plants as well as vouchers! Just have your money, coins and little clips ready.
I also recommend using small notes - that way you can afford to put more notes on there.

You could always go for some new towels, I love it when we get towels for engagment, wedding and now xmas and b'days - its one thing that i dont tend to go out and buy myself.

If I were you I would get them ...Bunnings vouchers.

That is what they must have told your aunt that they want. They may have a big purchase in mind.
