Anyone else due on 24 March? Just curious ...
Also, is anyone from Brisbane having their baby at the Mater Private at Redlands?
We start our antenatal classes on Saturday & doing the 2 full day Saturday classes. Can't wait for those!
Am excited to meet other people around our area at the same stage of their lives as us.
Hey CarrieB:wave:
Welcome to the March Thread, I am due to have our first bub on 30th March. I am living in Brissy too, but going to the Sunnybank Private Hospital.
Hope you have been having a great pregnancy so far. Looking forward to talking to you some more in the March Thread.

Wow that's so close. Where abouts in Brisbane are you from?
Pregnancy is better now - I was sick until about 20 weeks and sick even on random days on and off after that plus extremely tired!
It'd be great if our little princesses could be friends!
Look fwd to talking again soon!
That's great you are having a little girl too! Love the whole PINK thing!
At the moment we are living at my mum's house on the southside at Forestdale, as we are building a house down the coast at Upper Coomera (across the highway from Dreamworld). We should be moving in there at the end of the month. But I work in the city so thought it would be best if I see an OB halfway between work and our home incase I needed to get there fast. Plus both our families live up in the southside of Brissy so it's easier for everyone to come see us at the hospital too.
That's no good that you have been really sick like that, hope the sickness stops and you can enjoy the rest of your pg.

We are at Wellington Point atm, renting. I also work in the City - in Adelaide Street.
I luv the whole pink thing too - it's my fave colour! I have to have a 34 week scan though as at my 21 week scan it showed my placenta was too close to my cervix so they need to do another to make sure it's moved back otherwise I'll need a cesar. I keep worrying we'll have all this girly stuff & they'll say 'oh it's actually a boy!' I noticed you had the 4D scan too! How amazing is it?! Did you go to So+gi?
Oh cool, I work in Ann Street just near Central station!
:fingerscrossed: the scan goes well for you! I too am worried they are going to say it's a boy! I was so sure it was a boy and was in alot of shock when I was told its a girl. But really loving the fact we are having a girl.
The 4D scan is amazing, I never expected to be able to see her so clear. Sorry don't know what so-gi is so probably not.

I am just near the ATO!
Do you need to have another scan as well? I always assumed, as did everyone else, that I'd have a boy first as I have always wanted my little girl but once I fell pregnant my husband & I both had a feeling she was a girl. I wasn't gonna even find out at the scan - I always said I wanted a surprise - but hubby always said he was finding out. I changed my mind the night before! So glad I did too!
So+gi is the 4d scan place at South Brisbane - here's the website -

For my next scan I am just going to a normal x-ray place tho where my friend works. Apparently they bulk bill so that's good. My ob's have share care as there are 2 of them and you alternate visits. I had the alternate one after my 4d scan and he said not to bother going to so+gi again for my next one as it is so exy! I was a bit cut he didn't even ask what I thought. I think it is worth it though as a normal ultra-sound is about $200 - we paid $320 but we got this booklet with tonnes of pics, and a dvd. Plus it is just really comfortable there.
Wow had a look at the website and the pics on there look amazing, I would like another scan but bubs is going really well and healthy so no need!
We sure do work very close to each other, funny! Here is my email address to chat some more - I am always on msn at work nicoleburling@hotmail.com
When are you finishing work? I am working right up, finishing on 9th March. So that's about another 9 more weeks to go, which will probably drag on!

Thanks for that - I seem to always be on MSN atm as well as it is so boring at the moment - 2 of us secretaries work for 3 lawyers & usually so hectic but the busiest one is o/s until 22 Jan, another is away this week so only one left!
My hotmail address is cazbarker@hotmail.com.
Working right up until 2 March. I used to always say I'd finish 6 weeks before but have hardly any money saved :( Plus will get more money as will save a couple more days annual leave by then! Unless I have a cesar then it will obviously be earlier.
It's good you don't need another one & your bubs is very healthy!
What do you do?

Wow we are all so close.
When do you finish up work for bubs#2?
Before we all finish or after we have the bubs we should all meet up for a coffee or something.

Wow what a small world! I work in the IT industry too - but as an Executive Assistant at Mincom, which is the other side of you and central train station!
