Isn't he just following the example of "THORPE" ???? Being scruffy, stinky, arrogant and downright rude to the people who idolised him and put him on the pedestal.

ahh yes... but if he had a shower... and turned up on my doorstep.. DH would be worried :D YUM!!!! ....

re: Heath's rudeness.... well... I'm not really interested in his speaking ability :p

note- I love the name Matilda (sorry you had to share it coops!!!) and as far as celebrity kid names - it IS definately a better name than Rachael Griffiths son Banjo... if he was in primary school here in Aus... I'm SURE he would cop heaps!!!!!

I agree Erin, Heath has been going on about how he hates Australia (wouldn't live here) and Australian's (mainly the oz press), then he goes and uses an Australian name - what a hide!

I must admit I was surprised that he and Michelle Williams called their baby Matilda too but it is only 'apparent' not 'official' I heard. But maybe his partner had the 'naming rights' :D . And as she spent an bit of time here in Australia, maybe she suggested the name. But it really is of German origin anyway, but the Australian connections with the name are strong.

But on the upside, good old patriotic Bryan Brown's daughter is called Matilda. She is very attactive and stylish and she is about 19 or 20 years old now. I read an article on her and her actress mum and Bryan's Brown's wife Rachael Ward.

Maybe Heath and Michelle are going to be pushy stage parents and were just thinking of their daughters career.
Australian's are so popular over there maybe he thought she might get a leg up with an Aussie name?? :p
Heath Ledger really iritates me, badly! But better to be Michelle than Katie Holmes hey?
Erin, Matilda or Amelia are what we are tossing up at the moment if this next baby is a girl. Tilly or Milly? I think Amelia is winning at the moment though, sorry. ;)

I can understand your pain! How do you think I felt when bloody Nic Kidman calls her kid Isabella 6 months after my Isabelle was born. It was a rare name then. Now there is thousands of Isabella's, so my poor girl is constantly having to remind everybody to spell it without an A.

GGGRRRR

Olivers mum I have met a few Amelia's through out my life and I must say they were the most passionate and loving girls I have ever come across. The few Matilda's I have met have been fairly strong and assertive in helping others. So whichever way you look that little girl will be adorable.

I on the other hand have ended up with a loud precocious child in my Alana so steer clear of that name .... LOL
