My girls are 12 months and 2 weeks apart, and Mikayla turns 3 in 2 weeks and Abby 2 in 4 weeks. I have booked Mikayla in for a party at McDonalds the weekend after her birthday which means its only 2 weeks for Abby birthday. Do you think i should have a joint birthday party at McDonalds and invite 6 friends of each. Or have separate?

thanks everyone

Separate!!! It's not so special if you have to share.

My girls birthdays are 3 days apart in mid january, and we have separate parties for their friends before school breaks up in december, while people are still around, and then a joint family BBQ party on the weekend closest to their birthdays.

Hi aardvark
The other thing is the girls are so close (in friend wise) and there grandparents will be here that weekend and they wanted to pay for it.

Hmmm Mummyof2, I would have the party together but then make sure they had a very special day on their birthdays.
Make/buy them a cake each and cook their favourite tea!Make sure you give them pressies from you on their day.

Just my opinion, but that's what I would do, especially if grandparents want to pay for party! ;)

Maybe you could combine the birthdays at maccas but have separate birthday cakes with separate happy birthday song. :)
