I am still a strong believer that everybody has the Cancer gene in there system and it gets triggered in some people but not in others.
My Parents both smoke like chimneys and no problems, My Nan (RIP) smoked all her life and lived to 76, My Pop (RIP) also smoked all his life and lived to 88. Neither died from smoking related, however my Greatgrand father dies of throat cancer and never smoked a day in his life.
I do think it is a filthy habbit and that is why I am trying to quit.
So Good luck to everyone who is trying/wanting to quit.

I felt so bad for that 33yo woman who died when her boy was 6 months old. Really, it can happen to anyone.
You can do it Bronny Jane!:yelclap:

BJ, :yelclap: good on you. Can't tell you how happy I am that I have finally kicked it Haven't smoked in well over a year.
That is a really good site. Scary, but good. I think this one is effective:
Happy Father's Day... R.I.P.
Do you have kids? Lets leave the effects of second hand smoke for another slide because you are such a good parent that you have always smoked outside and away from your children. Now your dead! Should your children thank you? I guess it's like saying "Thank you for not killing me as you were killing yourself Dad."
People who die from tobacco smoking or other tobacco related are really poisoning themselves. You could call it suicide.
Right now you are somewhere along the line between living a healthy life and spending Father's Day in a pine box due to tobacco smoking. If you are not going to let it go this far then... when are you going to quit smoking? How about now? Not a good time? OK... How about now?
You know you want to so do it now! Quit smoking for good!
