Just wanted to start a discussion where we can all share our views and enjoy the diversity of each others thoughts...
So, do you believe in fairies? Why/why not? What do you base your thoughts on?

Yes in a way. Or perhaps I would like to believe in them but most of the time I am fairly sceptical of everything.
I believe in magic and creatures such as fairies come into that.

Yes. I believe in faries. I guess I believe in almost anything that brings a little magic into our otherwise normal lives.

Nah definitely not. But pixies are another matter. I really like garden gnomes even though they are a bit daggy :p

I don't know about fairies, but I definately beleive in angels (or those in the afterlife who look after us) and guardian angels..................because I have felt their presence.
So I would have to say I am sceptical about fairies because I have never seen one

Not sure.

but after saying that whenever something goes missing i always say that the fairies have borrowed it.

Have you ever noticed how sometimes bits of something go missing and are replaced by something else that you have never seen before and have no idea what it does?

Dang those fairies!

I'm not sure if I believe in faeries. I'd like to.

Growing up my parents had a big coffee table book on gnomes. Not the garden statues, but all about how real gnomes live and work etc, right down to tiniest details like how their toilets work. lol. I was always fascinated and would spend hours reading through it and the intricate drawings. My hub and I now collect similar books like on faeries and other beings.

Brooke it seems we have two things in common, DH's name and

YES I BELIEVE IN FAIRIES too!!!

I believe that they are everywhere, they are good and bad and always so full of mischief. And I can easily let myself feel that I am an 'incarnated elemental'

My heart broke recently when I learnt that my sister's four yo girl didn't know what a fairy is! - Still each to their own I guess.

I also definately believe in angels, demons, and many other creatures and realms that we have no real concept of.

(just a little footnote re other thread - this is what I mean by being classified as christian by one person's definition and non-christian by anothers)

Another little footnote...
No...
but I believe that teddie bears and other inanimate objects spring to life when you're not watching :D - tee hee! :)
