Safety Gate

Hey guys just wondering if you can get safety gates that are around 2 and 3 metres long?? And if you know around how much??

I think I've seen some extra wide ones about, though I'm not sur they come quite that big?

Try ringing your local baby shop,they be able to tell you & give you a price!!

If not, do you know any handy men that might be able to knock one up for you?

Hmmmm, I know that my mum had one at her old place when Toby was a baby and it would have ben almost 2 metres - it was just one of those cheaper wooden ones. You could probably get one custom made if ou cant find one. Do you know anyone who could whip one up for you? Good luck with it:D

A friend of mine had her husband just make a small wall that fit the opening to her kitchen. By the time her little one was big enough to climb over it, he was old enough to know that there were hot things in the kitchen and that he needed to stay out unless he was in there with Mummy.

The wall was about 3/4 the height of a normal safety gate, so was easy for adults to just step over without any trouble.

My SIL has a wide one on her verandah. It is a timber one (similar look to timber playpens). She bought it from one of the large babystores (sorry, don't know which one). It does not have a gate, but is fixed at both ends and you just step over it.
