i have a job interview next week and was after a little advice. i finished uni in july last year and had my baby in october. what would you say if you were asked what you have been doing since you finished uni? the position requires travel and time away from home which is fine with me but if they knew i had a little baby they may be reluctant to offer me the position thinking that there may be issues in the future.
what would you say?

I am assuming you mean july 2006, then you can simply say you were looking for a job, if you don't want to mention the bub, or say you took a well deserved break, and had a long holiday (overseas perhaps). but I don't think the fact that you will have to travel long distance and long hours would matter any way, it is not like you will be carrying your baby into work.
:fingerscrossed: you will find a great job soon, good luck

I would simply say, you took a break after your studies so that you would be refreshed and ready for a new job in 07.

I would tell them the truth.
Trust me, with a new bub, you need a job that is flexible and and employer that is understanding. There will be times when you can't travel or bubby is sick etc. If you get the job but fail to tell them you have a new baby, you may be setting yourself up for issues later.
