HI some people may tell you its not safe to lose weight whilst pregnant But I lost weight in my first trimster with jack and a little of the second one.
I went to the gym (whilch you dont have to do but its ok to excercise)
I ate well( well better than normally anyway).
I think if you do these things it will help you but I dont think you should stop after your 14 weeks being fitter will give you more energy for your baby now and will make your labor easier.
GOOD LUCK!!

I was 115kgs when i fell pregnant and ended up at 138 when done. I gained 10 kgs in fluid. I lost all that and started at Weighties at 126kgs.
Ive been at Weight Watchers for over 12 months and slowly have lost 20 kgs. I still have a long journey but i just love Weight Watchers. Its so flexible and supportive and i think they have programs for pregnant and breatfeeding people.
Hope thats some help!

I'm pretty sure that Weight Watchers has a pregnancy plan.
All the best with it.:hugs:

I want to loose weight anyway, but with the hospital saying in no uncertain terms that they will not take me if i dont has really pushed me that little bit further. I just hate the thought of going al the way to Gosford to give birth when Wyong is literally around the corner. I've even told DH that if i dont go to Wyong, i'll be having a homebirth.
Might go eat & go for a big walk. Just hope MJ feels like sitting in the stroller for me. Must go to the shops today & get low fat everything
I'm no diet specialist or anything...lol, but here's a few suggestions you can do while being pregnant : eat healthy, drink plenty of water, walk, swim, and yoga is also good for weightloss and pregnancy too.
Good luck, I hope it works out for you and congrats on your pregnancy :)

D- :hugs: totally understand your desire to birth at wyong and to loose the weight!
I lost 6kg within the first trimester with this pg,
My eating habits changed for the better and i was drinking more water but apart from that i did nothing different.
I had no m/s with this pg so was eating normally i just think my metabolism kicked it up a notch.
Im now at 32 and a half wks and back to my start pg weight. so im really hoping not to put too much more on :fingerscrossed:
Best of luck to you, heres hoping i'll be visiting you at wyong hopsital when you give birth to your precious bub.....and drooling over the private ensuite lol:D
RB - have a look at the CSIRO diet - it has lots of the good things that you needs when pregnant so would not be a bed one to follow. It means lots of meat so your iron levels will be great! Then lots of walking and you should be on your way!

Rainbowbrite, just wanted to wish you goodluck this year with your desire to loose weight, and have a beautiful birth at Wyong.
I very much enjoyed the experience, and can't wait til DF and I are ready to go down that road again.
As for healthy concious advising.
I recently read that, the best way to diet is to have variety, meaning, protein, good carbs, lean meat, fruits/veges etc. Probably just like your everyday diet? Having 6 meals a day boostes your metaboilism so you will burn fat of easier. I'm certain that three of those meals should be based on snacking on healthy treats such as fruit nuts/grains. Fish is a good start, if you love yummy rocket salad/fancy lettuce.
Lately I've been putting red kidney beans and lentils in almost every meal, including my salads.
Instead of having a big baked potatoe having kidney beans, spinach and lentils as an alternative are a good idea.
Good luck.:hugs: :smiliedance:

Thanks Ashleigh<3 & everyone else. If possible, and not too much to ask, can people PM me some recipes? I havent looked at the CSIRO diet, but i will go to Borders today, might get the book. Or is there another way to do it, online etc?
I have been trying to walk more, will have to do it daily though. Is 3km a day enough?
Thanks so much everyone, keep the ideas coming :D

i second the csiro diet...make sure you get enough calcium.....it tells you how much you need if your pg or bf....
walking is great for fitness..very handy considering what labours like.
dont push yourself to hard though...build it up
good luck:yelclap:

Thanks Krisseh, though i guarantee i'm bigger :( Wyong are a low risk hospital. Your BMI has to be below 31 to birth there. Its stupid honestly. Im in a size 16 clothes & weigh about 97kg :(. I know i'm big but i'm not that big. I did have MJ there, though had to be reviewed at 36 weeks to make sure she wasnt going to be too big etc. She was 3.2kg. I put on 11kg through the pg, which i lost most of within a week.
This will give me an excuse to get down to sydney more, the walk to & from the station
Like others have said, eating well and some exercise should see you lose weight the right way.
Oh and Weight Watchers doesn't have a pregnancy plan, only a breastfeeding plan.
Good Luck with it.
 Have u considered lite n easy??? I have just started and the food is really nice (still have to cook for bubs and hubby). You would have to check about using it whilst pregnant but just an idea. I just started on tuesday and walking 40 mins a day. I enjoy the walk and bubs loves the outdoors.
Goodluck with whatever decision u make!!!
Hi RB
Congratulations BTW. I'm "thirding" the CSIRO diet recommendation. In twelve weeks most woman in their study lost 8kg. Perhaps you could check with your g.p. that its ok for you to follow this eating plan.
Have a look here http://www.csiro.au/csiro/channel/pchaj.html
So far I've lost 5kg. Dh is also following, normally wouldnt entertain being on a "diet" but he loves the food .
Good luck
