We have had names picked even before we were ttc. DH & I agree on most names so long as they are out of the ordinary  They cant be too normal, seeing as DD's name is Mara-Jade.

So we have 2 of each picked out

Nah, not too early! We have been talking about names since ttc - 2 years ago.

We are much the same, although we are finding boys names to be what we argue over. We like Ella too, and hubby is happy with most of the other girls names, except for Lorelai - he says "from the Gilmore Girls".

There is only one boys name we agree on, and i keep picking out others, but always get met with a very short "NO" from DH. I like Lachlan and Cooper, but they are no's too! Guess we just have to keep on looking! Good luck!

Shorty_851 can I suggest Ellie?

That's one of my daughters names...

My girls are:

Kara Mia (dh suggested this as a 'joke' mucking around like 'Gomaz Adams' Adams family - I loved it!!)

Ellie Rose (we just thought it was beautiful - like Miss Ellie from Dallas... abit American:laughing: )

& Louisa Michaela (was named after our dec'd grandfathers)

None of our kiddies had names b4 their bith - we always took a list of about 10... mind you we knew the sex of them all!

Louisa's name wasn't even on the list? I just had an impulse after she was born... I wanted 'Louise Josephine' But it was 'fine tuned' by DH & a suggestive nurse!

This time around I like 'John-Paul' dh does not! Maybe, Benjamin John... I think we'd both settle on that - John after my g'father who died recently.

In the end you forget all the things that a name could be turned into - because it become a very special part of your family... and these days kids have some 'stranger' than usual names  I don't think 'Ella' is going to 'bat an eye lid' in the name calling status!

Tingles, Kara Mia is such a beautiful name.

Thanks... My girlfriend called her little one Jenna Mia - quite nice too.

Just had a look at my 'saved document' of baby names...

Gianna Marie

Gianna Lucia

Luisiana Belle

Amanda Jane

Charlotte Mary

We both always liked Victoria (pre-children) - but that went out the window? Maybe this time?

Mara-Jade is a nice name too...:)

All such lovely names! I love all the old fashioned girls names like:

Grace
Lily
Charlotte
Rose
Emily
Caitlin

...but they are just so popular right now, why is that?

Boys names I'm finding difficult as there is not one that DH and I agree on!
