Have been really enjoying Elizabeth Pantly's "No-Cry Sleep Solution" and have identified the issue with Ariene's night-waking.

She is freaking out when she realises that she is in either her cot or in bed next to me, but no longer has my nipple in her mouth! She is just as upset when she wakes up in my bed as she is when she's in her cot (the first part of the night, from 7pm-10pm).

I successfully fed my first-born to sleep every night until he was 18 months old, with no issues, no night-waking (or problems when he did wake) and no regrets. It was a lovely way for him to fall asleep and we were all as happy as could be

But it's so different for Ariene!! Who has done Elizabeth Pantly's technique for eliminating breastfeeding as a sleep assocciation? I start tonight, and I'm looking for tips and ideas to help me perservere and eventually (:fingerscrossed: ) succeed....

TIA :D

Hi sorry, I don't have any suggestions for you but was wondering if this book is worthwhile purchasing. I am having a very hard time with my one year old who wakes several times during the night, he is in my bed because he wakes after an hour in his cot. I couldn't breastfeed so I can cancel out your problem. Any ideas?

Yep complete success here, took around two weeks and now Eliza actually pulls off in her sleep when shes done & I pop her into bed. at first it would take 3-4 goes before she'd be OK with me doing it. GL hope it works for you too.

This book is still very worthwhile in your situation, imo. Great for toddlers, too. And the bit I'm looking at, regarding breastfeeding, is only a tiny part of the book. Very gentle yet effective ideas.

Thanks heaps Pixie!! Thanks for the encouragement :D

I definitely agree.. the book is excellent for all different ages and situations. A friend of mine used the pull-off technique on her nine-month-old and it worked, so don't give up!
