Dogs vs Cats

An age old question "Are you a dog person or a cat person?"

We have both now and I grew up with both dogs and cats and would call myself an obsessed animal lover but I have to say deep down I am definately a dog person - more than any other animal :yes:

I just adore my dogs, love playing with them, grooming them, walking them - they are like my babies... with me all day long following me around, even go in the car with me sometimes etc etc. My cat is beautiful too but we just dont have the same bond as I do with my doggies.

So what are you??

I have only EVER had a dog, and just recently got a cat as we had a mice problem....
He is a beautiful cat, but I can't stand the Kitty Litter business ANYMORE!! :barf:

Bring on the dogs!! They are like a member of the family and sometimes can be quite human (depending on the breed!)... :smiliedance:

I'm definately a cat person:yes: . Growing up I loved everything cat related but when I reached around 20 and had my first cat (not a family cat) I wondered which I really liked best... After having my very own dogs I know it's definately CATS!

I do love my dog but I'm not a fan of sniffing and slobber. My dog's nickname is "dumb dumb".... My cat's is "darling", so that kind of gives it away doesn't it!:laughing:

I always had cats growing up, but over the years developed hayfever allergies to them, so have had dogs for the last six years, although I hate the wet smell of dogs after rain. Inhereted[sp] a cat when DH moved in, but she still sets off the allergies (and hates the dogs anyway!!)

I never had any animals growing up (not even a fish :no:), and as soon as i moved out got all of them (except a fish :D).

I have to say i am more a dog person, 'cos they're so interactive....there's only so much you can do with cats and birds, (though i still love them all dearly!).

I'm definenlty a cat person, I don't hate dogs however, I am angry at mine atm (my dog that is) coz he just tore up Hayley's Huggies play tunnel. :banghead: Its still usuable though I guess, and it was probably our fault coz he is probably bored.

I like cats I think they're better for kids, I really want a kitten for Hayley, I think some breeds of dogs are good (esp for kids) but others aren't so much.

Hi,
I am a vet nurse so like all animals except ferrets yuck, but I am definately a dog person, my dog and i are so close and i would miss her so much if she was gone but the cat seems to hang around for food and that is it.

Cat person here.Even though mine drives me mental sometimes,I still love him.He's cute and furry.
I don't mind dogs,but some have a real annoying bark or yap and that gets on my nerves.That and slobber.:barf:

They are like my babies too.... DH is worried when bub comes along he/she will have to fight for attention :p

cats are good, but my puppies are way better.

Dog person. I've got a nutty Lab, and as much as she licks and is annoying, she's so beautiful - although she thinks she's a lapdog (all 35kg's :eek:) Can't stand the killer instinct in cats (or more the dead geckos etc everywhere).

I love both too but I guess I definitely lean more towards cats. I just don't have the time a dog needs at the moment. I've got Burmese cats though and they are very dog-like (eg. very loving, they play fetch the ball and follow you EVERYWHERE). So, I kinda feel I have the best of both worlds.

I like dogs a lot more for some reason. It's just the fact that you own dogs but with cats they own you.

i have a dog hes a staffy called titan
(my ex has custody of him till i find a house )
and i also have a cat loosen
(my ex also has him lol )

if i had to choose i would go dog all the way
they sence when things arent right
and are always there for you

when i first moved in with the ex i had no dog
for 6mths and it was horriable
its been the only time in my life that i havent had one
