Hi
I am going to a wedding at the end of the month and just have a few questions.
What kind of present do you give? I was thinking of giving money? $100 doesnt seem like enough and $200 sounds a bit much. What do others think?
Also, what do I wear? I'm not usually a dress type of person but thought I might for the occassion. Do I wear a short (just above the knee) dress or does it have to be a long dress? Does it have to be dressy or it casual ok?
Also I cant wear high heels. Can you wear flat shoes with a dress? Otherwise does anyone have any tips for wearing high heels?
Thanks in advance
Natalie
For a wedding I would wear a shorter dress as to me the bride and the bridal party wear the longer dresses....
It depends on the style of the wedding whether it is more casual or dressy....
You can get very pretty flat shoes to go with dresses!! Payless and Spendless have heaps of pretty ones...
In regards to the present.... give what you can afford... or buy something special for their house....

If you are worried about what to wear check the invite and see if it stipulates dress code or even ask the bride. You can definately where a shorter length dress and flat shoes, you want to be comfortable.
AS for money, just give what you feel comfortable with $100 seems like plenty to me.
Hi there!
You dont have to wear a dress to a wedding. You can wear nice dressy pants and a nice top if you dont like wearing dresses. Or even a skirt and top.
As for the present, give what you can afford to give. If you feel funny about a particular amount then perhaps buy them something to the value of what you would put in the card. WE got a fair bit of money- some gave more, some less.
A few different things we got for ours:
~Matching Bathrobes
~Matching towels with our names embroidered on them.
~Wedding Albums
We got heaps, just cant remember right now. Will write more when I think of more.
Enjoy the wedding!

it doesnt matter how much you give.
We had a wishing well, and some people gave us $50 and some $100. But i was in a wedding that the minimum ppl gave was $200.. no way could I afford to give that much
and as for dresses.. Ive got a dress thats about knee length, got it from noni b, about 100 and its lovely. Its a cocktail dress! normally thats what most wear nowdays!
$100 is enough i think...
now for your outfit depends on if its formal or not....
if in doubt wear a classic flowing black dress and gorgeous accessories...sparkly flat shoes (if u dont like high heels) matching bag...stunning jewellry (borrow from a friend) and hav your hair done that morning at the hairdresser...
good luck
